As a huge Marvel fan, I’m getting really excited about what’s coming in 2026! They’re planning some fresh starts with classic characters – we’ll be seeing new Iron Man and Daredevil series, which is awesome. But honestly, I’m even more hyped about some of the characters who haven’t been in the spotlight as much lately getting new runs. And the events they’ve teased? Incredible! There’s Shadows of Tomorrow focusing on the X-Men, and this massive Armageddon event from Chip Zdarsky that’s already starting to unfold in the current Captain America comic and a storyline with Miles Morales and these intriguing Origin Boxes. It all feels like things are building to something huge!
Here is a look at Marvel’s upcoming new comic book series we are most looking forward to in 2026.
5) Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon (February 18)

I’m so excited for the big Marvel event coming in June 2026 – it’s called Armageddon! Marvel isn’t giving away too many details yet, but it sounds like everything happening in the current Captain America comic, and with Miles Morales, is all building towards this. Plus, there’s a new Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon series coming out that will lead right into the main event. It’s going to be epic!
Chip Zdarsky is behind Marvel’s new Armageddon event, and he’s also launching a new Wolverine comic that kicks off what Marvel is calling their biggest story of the year. The story follows Wolverine as he investigates a new program experimenting on people with superpowers, and soon discovers a powerful individual is trying to reshape the world.
4) The Sentry (March 18)

Following a surge in popularity from his appearance in Thunderbolts, The Sentry will reappear in Avengers: Doomsday this December. Marvel Comics is building on this momentum with a brand new solo series for the hero, launching with Marvel 18. Writer Paul Jenkins is returning to Marvel after more than ten years, teaming up with Christian Rosado for this four-issue miniseries.
This series will see the return of the Void, the dangerous and destructive embodiment of Sentry’s inner darkness. As the Void threatens to unravel reality itself, Sentry must confront his own demons while battling other powerful enemies aiming to destroy the world. Featuring appearances by Reed Richards, Spider-Man, and Kingpin, this promises to be Sentry’s most challenging fight yet.
3) Wonder Man (March 18)

The Disney+ series Wonder Man will be available all at once in January 2018, and Marvel Comics will follow up with a new comic book series two months later. This comic will be a five-issue miniseries created by Gerry Duggan and Mark Buckingham. Similar to the Disney+ show, which features the character navigating a career in Hollywood, the comic book will also bring Wonder Man back to the world of filmmaking.
Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man, is back in Hollywood, balancing his superhero duties with his commitment to non-violence. But when a dangerous secret involving a friend pulls him into the darker corners of the entertainment industry, he risks everything – his career and even a confrontation with the villain Hellcast. The first issue of Wonder Man will be available on March 18, 2026.
2) Magik and Colossus (February 4)

A big update is coming for the X-Men, called Shadows of Tomorrow, and it includes several new comic series. Fans can look forward to another solo series featuring Storm, continuing her adventures from 2024, and a brand new series starring Rogue. But the most anticipated news is a team-up series focusing on the brother-sister duo of Colossus and Magik. This is exciting because the two haven’t worked together in years and it will be great to see them reunited.
This new comic series explores whether the gentle giant Colossus can reconcile with his fiery and skeptical sister, Magik. Their journey begins with a return to Russia, where they discover ancient monsters are terrorizing the population. Ashley Allen and German Peralta are the creative team behind this story, which starts February 4th.
1) Cyclops (February 11)

The recent ‘Age of Revelation’ storyline concluded without resolving the disastrous future timeline it explored, but it did bring two characters back with crucial information. Dark Beast is now aware of the full potential of Douglas Ramsay’s abilities. More significantly, Cyclops now knows the details of what’s to come and is determined to prevent it from happening in his reality.
Launching February 11th, the new Cyclops solo series—the first in over ten years—will follow the character as he struggles to prevent a disastrous future. Written by Alex Paknadwel with art by Rogê Antônio, the story begins with Cyclops lost and without his visor in a remote mountain setting, separated from the X-Men. Pursued by Donald Pierce and the Reavers, this situation will finally allow Cyclops to take center stage and prove himself after years of being in the shadows.
