For the next 24 hours, PlayStation Plus members can get five PS5 games for free. Three of these games are also available on PS4 for subscribers, while the other two are exclusive to PS5. This offer is available to all PlayStation Plus members, regardless of whether they have the Essential, Extra, or Premium subscription. However, on May 5th, these games will return to their regular prices.
If you haven’t yet claimed April’s free PlayStation Plus games, you have about 24 hours left! These games will be replaced with May’s selection soon. The free games for April are Lords of the Fallen, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, and Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered. While there are technically three titles, Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered is a collection of three games, bringing the total to five! Good news for PlayStation 4 owners: Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered is available on both PS4 and PS5.
Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered
The highlight of the current PlayStation Plus offer is likely the Tomb Raider I-II-III Remastered collection, which includes three classic games. Originally released between 1996 and 1998, these first three Tomb Raider titles received a fresh remaster in 2024. The collection scored a 75 on Metacritic and even garnered a 4.2 out of 5 rating from PlayStation Store users on PS5. While Core Design originally developed the games, Aspyr handled the remastering process.
Lords of the Fallen
The 2023 action RPG Lords of the Fallen, developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, is a reboot of the 2014 game with the same name. It received a score of 75 on Metacritic and quickly became a commercial success, selling over one million copies within its first ten days. Players on the PlayStation Store have given it an average rating of 3.82 out of 5 stars.
Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream
Released in 2024, Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream is an action game developed by Dimps Corporation and published by Bandai Namco. It’s a standalone title within the larger Sword Art Online series, and it has received a Metacritic score of 68 and a 3.65 rating on the PlayStation Store.
Like all PlayStation Plus free games, these are yours to keep forever as long as you download them while your subscription is active. If you cancel your PlayStation Plus membership, you won’t be able to play these games until you resubscribe.
