Tubi is a popular, free streaming service owned by Fox. Launched in 2014, it has over 100 million monthly users and offers a vast library of movies and TV shows, including original content. Tubi is available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and can be accessed on over 30 different devices – including smartphones, tablets, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and computers. You can start watching immediately on a computer without creating an account, but signing up for a free account lets you save your viewing progress. Tubi offers a wide variety of content, including movies, TV shows, live channels, Spanish-language programming, and a dedicated section for kids.

4) Pluto TV

If you enjoy watching TV, Pluto TV is a fantastic, free way to stream. Owned by Paramount, it’s a leading service offering hundreds of live channels and thousands of movies and shows on demand. Pluto TV has partnered with many international media companies, giving it a huge and diverse selection of content in all kinds of genres and languages. You can watch on various devices, apps, or through a web browser. All it takes is a free account – and they promise you can ‘Stream now. Pay never.’

Pluto TV offers a strong selection of programming every month, including live TV and a wide variety of game shows, from current favorites to classic hits like Supermarket Sweep. They also have a great movie library. In May, you can find all eight seasons of Arrow, along with The 100, Hart of Dixie, and My Wife and Kids. Movie fans will be happy to see the first five Mission: Impossible films added this month. And for those who love Battlestar Galactica, Pluto TV now has the original miniseries, all four seasons of the series, and Battlestar Galactica: The Plan.

3) Plex

Plex stands out as a particularly interesting free streaming service, offering both free content and paid subscriptions. Thankfully, the free options are quite good! You can access Plex in over 180 countries on a variety of devices, including smart TVs, phones, tablets, and computers. It features a library of over 50,000 movies and TV shows with ads, plus free live channels. You can even rent new releases directly through Plex. Plus, their ‘Discover’ feature helps you find content on other streaming services without having to switch apps—though keep in mind that content on those other services might not be free.

You need a library card or university login to access it. While not every library offers Kanopy, many do, making it a valuable place to find films you won’t see everywhere else. 1) The Roku Channel

Many people believe you need a Roku device to watch The Roku Channel, but that’s not true! You can also access it on computers through a web browser, on your phone or tablet with the mobile app, and directly on many smart TVs. It’s a fantastic free streaming service offering movies, TV shows, and even live TV channels.

The Roku Channel offers a lot of great free content, especially live television, but it’s also home to some unique shows called Roku Originals. A popular new one is The Reunion: Laguna Beach. You can also find a section called “Not on Netflix” with shows you won’t find on that other streaming service. And while The Roku Channel has plenty of free options, it also lets you access other paid streaming services, which are clearly marked with a dollar sign.
