It’s important for new fans to be able to easily explore fantasy, a genre known for its complexity and variety. Offering fantasy movies for free streaming has been a major factor in the genre’s recent growth, allowing both newcomers and longtime fans to enjoy stories whether they’re reading books or watching films.
As a big fan, I think there’s really something here for everyone – a little bit of every type of story you could want! And honestly, it’s awesome knowing you can enjoy so many great, classic tales without spending a dime. It makes the whole experience even better!
7) Conan The Barbarian – Tubi

Regardless of what you think about the special effects, dialogue, or acting, Conan the Barbarian remains a classic sword and sorcery film for a reason. The movie follows Conan (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from childhood, after his village is raided and his parents killed by the evil sorcerer Thulsa Doom (James Earl Jones). Enslaved as a boy, Conan grows up driven by a desire for revenge and to reclaim his father’s sword. While it’s definitely a bit over-the-top and campy, it’s a beloved classic, and most viewers find something to enjoy. It’s a prime example of a muscle-bound fantasy adventure, and sometimes, that’s exactly what makes it so appealing!
6) Conan The Destroyer – Tubi

Honestly, who wouldn’t want another Conan movie? I know I did! Conan the Destroyer continues Conan’s story after Barbarian, and this time he finds out he’s been used by the wicked Queen Taramis. He teams up with the amazing Zula and the sorcerer Akiro to protect Princess Jehnna from all sorts of threats. It’s not quite as epic as the first film, but it’s still a really fun, lighthearted adventure. The story is a bit goofy, but it just adds to the enjoyment, and I definitely recommend checking it out!
5) The Hunger Games (1-4) – Tubi

Chances are you already know The Hunger Games, the hugely popular series that captured the attention of a generation through its books and films. Now, all four blockbuster movies are available to watch for free on Tubi. The films are set in a dark, futuristic version of America and follow Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) as she volunteers to take her sister’s place in the brutal Hunger Games, a televised event controlled by the government. The story then expands into a fight to save her life and ultimately overthrow the oppressive Capitol. It’s a fantastic adaptation of the books and has rightfully earned its critical acclaim. If you’re looking for a movie marathon, this series is a great choice.
4) The Golden Child -Pluto TV

Among the films listed, The Golden Child is definitely the most unpredictable. It’s a fun mix of classic 80s adventure elements, centering around the kidnapping of a young Tibetan boy believed to be a special, mystical figure. The villain, Sardo Numspa, threatens humanity, but a priestess named Kee Nang is secretly searching for someone to save the boy. Spotting social worker Chandler Jarrell on TV, and impressed by his skills at finding missing children, she enlists his help. While the movie is undeniably goofy and over-the-top, Eddie Murphy’s comedic talent makes it an enjoyable way to spend an evening.
3) House of Flying Daggers – Pluto TV

Often overlooked, House of Flying Daggers is a stunning film that deserves to be seen. It features breathtaking visuals and fantastic performances from its cast. Set during the Tang Dynasty, the story follows a struggle for power as the government fights against various rebel groups, the most famous of which are the ‘House of Flying Daggers’ – a band of outlaws who rob from the wealthy to help the poor. When two police officers (Takeshi Kaneshiro and Andy Lau) are assigned to investigate a mysterious dancer named Mei (Zhang Ziyi), suspected of ties to the Flying Daggers, they both find themselves falling in love with her and ultimately deciding to help her escape. The film is known for its incredible action sequences and a moving love story unfolding amidst a violent and turbulent time.
2) Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance – Pluto TV

If you want a non-stop action movie starring Nicolas Cage and Idris Elba, this is it. Spirit of Vengeance, the second Ghost Rider film, follows Johnny Blaze (Cage) as he tries to escape his curse by hiding in Eastern Europe. He teams up with a priest named Moreau (Elba) who needs his help to save a boy named Danny. But there’s a problem: Satan (Ciarán Hinds) is also after the boy for his own reasons. It’s a delightfully over-the-top superhero adventure, and it makes a strong case for bringing Johnny Blaze into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel, are you paying attention?
1) The Brothers Grimm – Pluto TV

The early 2000s saw a surge in darker fantasy films, and The Brothers Grimm perfectly captures that vibe. The movie follows Wilhelm (Matt Damon) and Jacob (Heath Ledger), two brothers who travel around pretending to be demon hunters. They put on shows to scare people, making them believe they’re getting rid of ghosts and other creatures. However, their scam leads them to a dangerous mission: a French general asks them to investigate the disappearance of ten girls from a village, believing a supernatural force is responsible. The film is visually striking, with dark and beautiful cinematography, and both Ledger and Damon deliver engaging performances. While it might not be the strongest film of its kind, The Brothers Grimm is still a fun, fantastical adventure with a compelling enough story to enjoy.
