Over the past 49 years, the Star Wars universe has delivered many memorable partnerships. One example is Luke and Anakin Skywalker, who briefly allied in the novel Shadow of the Sith when Anakin’s Force ghost helped Luke. More recently, we saw Maul join forces with Jedi to fight even bigger dangers – Darth Vader and his Inquisitors.
Fans have always wanted to see Jedi working together, but it’s tough since their stories are spread out across the Star Wars universe and different continuities. Here are seven Jedi team-ups that could realistically happen and that we’re excited about.
7. Luke Skywalker and Ezra Bridger

Ezra Bridger, played by Eman Esfandi, disappeared from the Star Wars galaxy just before the beginning of A New Hope. He intentionally exiled himself to the distant planet Peridea to stop Grand Admiral Thrawn, a move that even Emperor Palpatine thought altered the fate of the galaxy. The Empire believed Thrawn, along with Tarkin, was one of the few strategists capable of crushing the Rebel Alliance. However, Ezra reappeared about five years after the Emperor’s death, as seen in Season 1 of Ahsoka.
It’s established that Luke Skywalker knew about Ezra Bridger. A recently re-released Star Wars book, presented as being written by Luke himself, specifically references Ezra’s unusual lightsaber. While they’ve never fought side-by-side, Ezra’s return coincides with Luke’s efforts to rebuild the Jedi Order, making a team-up a real possibility. Whether this happens likely depends on Mark Hamill’s willingness to reprise his role as a younger Luke Skywalker.
6. Ahsoka and Omega

Both Omega and Ahsoka Tano grew up during the Clone Wars – Ahsoka as Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice, and Omega as a unique clone created on Kamino. After the Republic fell, Omega was rescued from Kamino and joined Clone Force 99 during the difficult years that followed. Because Ahsoka survived Order 66 and both characters operated in similar circles, many fans expected them to team up in Star Wars: The Bad Batch. However, that crossover never happened.
Omega found a home on the quiet planet of Pabu, where she grew up during a difficult period. The end of The Bad Batch showed that as an adult, she left Pabu to fight with the Rebel Alliance, around the same time Ahsoka Tano was also active – reportedly training Sabine Wren. This opens the door for a potential and exciting team-up between Omega and Ahsoka, which fans would love to see.
5. Qui-Gon Jinn and Kanan Jarrus

Qui-Gon Jinn became the first Jedi in centuries to appear as a Force Ghost, even though he died in The Phantom Menace. Yoda noticed his presence in Attack of the Clones, but Qui-Gon didn’t start teaching others from beyond death until the Clone Wars ended. He most recently appeared in Obi-Wan Kenobi, explaining that Obi-Wan hadn’t been open enough to the Force to communicate with him. This raises a curious question: did Qui-Gon train anyone else as a Force Ghost besides Yoda and Obi-Wan?
Kanan Jarrus was a deeply spiritual Jedi who ultimately gave his life to protect his loved ones. Interestingly, Star Wars Rebels showed that his spirit continued to exist within the Force, but in a special way because he died on Lothal, a planet strong with the Force. It would be logical for Star Wars to feature a team-up between Qui-Gon Jinn and Kanan, potentially hinting at Kanan’s own journey to a similar afterlife within the Force.
4. Cal Kestis and Ahsoka Tano

I really enjoyed the recent Jedi games, especially the character of Cal Kestis. He’s quickly become a key figure in the newer Star Wars stories, and it turns out he was a pretty big deal during the dark times after Order 66. A new book, Jedi: Battle Scars, shows us just how wanted he was by the Empire – apparently, he was one of their top targets! That explains a lot, actually. Thinking about it, Ahsoka Tano was working undercover, trying to stay hidden, so it makes perfect sense she wouldn’t want to get involved with someone who was drawing so much Imperial attention.
Despite everything, a partnership between Cal and Ahsoka would be amazing. It would be fascinating to see how their different viewpoints and methods of fighting the Empire clash and complement each other. Cal’s bold and dramatic style is similar to what Anakin Skywalker might have done, which would likely make Ahsoka cautious. This is especially true since Cal seems to be following a similar path to Anakin, including a potential connection to the dark side.
3. Qui-Gon Jinn and Luke Skywalker

According to official Star Wars stories, Luke Skywalker only interacted with three Force Ghosts: Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and his father, Anakin Skywalker. This originally led fans to believe a Force Ghost could only appear to someone they had a close bond with. However, the novelization of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker by Rae Carson showed that multiple Force Ghosts, including Yoda, had actually appeared to Leia. This discovery opens the possibility that Qui-Gon Jinn could also join forces with Luke.
The current portrayal of Luke Skywalker in Canon often feels like he’s overly imitating the Jedi from the prequel films, copying their style and techniques – a trend that was particularly noticeable in The Book of Boba Fett and caused disagreement among fans. It would be good for Luke’s development to encounter a more unconventional Jedi, like Qui-Gon Jinn, especially considering Qui-Gon’s subtle but important connection to Luke’s own story. Hopefully, this will happen in future stories.
2. Cal Kestis and Quinlan Vos

Quinlan Vos, a Jedi Master, has a history with the dark side. He once joined a risky plan to assassinate Count Dooku, which led him to work alongside and become romantically involved with Asajj Ventress. Though he nearly succumbed to the dark side himself, it turns out Asajj was the one who ultimately found redemption. Remarkably, Quinlan lived through Order 66 and was instrumental in creating the Hidden Path – a secret network used to help Jedi and their allies escape the Empire.
Cal Kestis and Quinlan Vos share some striking similarities. Both have fallen for Dathomiri women and are dangerously close to the dark side. Interestingly, Cal is also connected to the Hidden Path. This makes them a natural team, and it would be fantastic to see Quinlan return in the next Jedi game.
1. Luke Skywalker and Mill Alibeth

Mill Alibeth is probably the least famous Jedi on this list, and for good reason – she’s only shown up a few times in official Star Wars stories. First appearing in the novel Brotherhood, Mill was Anakin Skywalker’s initial Padawan. She worked with him briefly during the Clone Wars before leaving the Jedi Order. This is why she survived Order 66, the purge of the Jedi. During the difficult years that followed, she worked as a kind of vigilante, helping where she could against groups like Crimson Dawn. Eventually, she became a bounty hunter and lived long enough to even attempt to stop Rey.
Mill is a refreshing and engaging addition to the Star Wars universe, and it would be compelling to see how she views Luke’s father. It would also be incredibly interesting to watch her discover that her teacher, Anakin, ultimately became Darth Vader. A collaboration between these two Jedi is something fans really need to see.
