Even before the halfway point of 2026, we’ve already seen some incredible games, and plenty more are still coming! Gen Con is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest gaming events, and it’s the ideal place for many highly anticipated titles to make their debut. We’ve rounded up 7 of the games we’re most excited about – games that will either be playable or fully available at Gen Con – and we’re starting with what’s already become one of the biggest hits of the year.
7. Dungeon Crawler Carl TTRPG and Unstoppable

When discussing gaming in 2026, Dungeon Crawler Carl is a major topic – it’s incredibly popular right now. That’s why the recent launch of a new Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG and a Dungeon Crawler Carl version of Unstoppable were so well-timed. The crowdfunding campaign was a massive success, raising over $13 million on BackerKit, and the games are slated for release later this year. Although full releases aren’t expected until after Gen Con, fans will be able to play both games at the event, and we’re excited to experience the world of Carl, Princess Donut, and the rest of the crew!
6. Six-Sided Seas

I’m always drawn to games with a pirate theme, and fans like me will be excited about a new one called Six-Sided Seas from Solis Game Studio. In the game, you roll dice to build a crew and staff your ship. It’s a bit of a gamble – you’ll need to push your luck while also attacking other players and collecting gold to win. Plus, it’s played on a beautiful, roll-out game mat! The good news is it will be available starting July 30th, just in time for Gen Con.
5. Rock Hard 1977: Ear Candy

Okay, so I was really into Rock Hard 1977 – that game where you try to make it with your own rock band. Now, they’re releasing an expansion called Rock Hard: 1977 – Ear Candy, and it looks awesome! Basically, you can now write and release 45 RPM singles, trying to turn your band’s life into hit songs. You gotta promote those singles to get them played on the radio, which helps you climb the charts and get famous – it’s a whole new way to play. Plus, there are new characters, managers, and even… candy? Apparently, we can all check it out at Gen Con, which I’m super excited about!
4. Star Trek: Space Hunt

A fantastic announcement this year was Star Trek: Space Hunt, a new game based on the popular Captain Sonar system. It brings that exciting gameplay into the Star Trek universe! Players will enjoy the original game’s great mechanics, plus a fully immersive Star Trek experience. This includes unique skills and stats for captains and officers, the ability to travel through hyperspace, and the chance to play in three different time periods from the franchise. You can try it out at Gen Con, and it’s expected to be fully released later this year.
3. Fury of Dracula 5th Edition

Many fans already love the game Fury of Dracula, and it’s been updated several times over the years. The newest edition, Fury of Dracula 5th Edition, looks like the best version yet! Avalon Hill will release it at Gen Con, and it offers a beautiful and exciting gameplay experience. Players can choose from a variety of monster hunters as they pursue Dracula across Europe. Plus, a new, faster setup mode makes it easier than ever to start playing, so if you’ve been considering trying the game, now’s a great time!
2. Batman: Enemies of Gotham City

Most Batman games let you play as Batman or his allies, but Batman: Enemies of Gotham City is different. This game puts you in control of Batman’s famous villains, letting you play as characters like The Penguin, Bane, and The Joker. Your goal is to take over Gotham City while staying one step ahead of Batman himself. If you’ve ever wanted to play as the bad guys, this game offers a huge selection of iconic villains to choose from.
1. Brave & Bold: Bag Building Combat Game

As a huge DC fan, I’m so excited about everything they’ve been doing lately! And now, they’re coming out with a new game called Brave & Bold, and it looks amazing. You actually get to play as some of the most iconic heroes and villains – Superman, Wonder Woman, even Cheetah and Lex Luthor! It’s a two-player game where you build up a ‘bag’ of abilities and then battle it out. From what I’ve seen, each character plays totally differently, and the fights look really dynamic. The best part? You can try it out at Gen Con!
