Many fans believe that Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is a significant improvement over Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. This new installment of the popular Boruto series follows an older Boruto Uzumaki as he evades both friends and foes, and it’s generating a lot of buzz thanks to the involvement of the original creator, Masashi Kishimoto. While the current story arc, which involves a conflict between Konoha and the powerful Divine Trees, is strong, some key aspects of the manga still need refinement for Two Blue Vortex to truly succeed.
7.) Focus on The Next Generation In Its Entirety

Fans of Naruto are excited to see the older characters return in the sequel series, but it feels like some of the newer generation are being sidelined. While characters like Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Kawaki have had their moments, they aren’t getting enough focus. Two Blue Vortex needs to give these characters more opportunities to shine through engaging battles and storylines, just like the original series did with characters outside of Team 7. A great example of this is the “Search For Sasuke” arc, which effectively highlighted the younger generation in a compelling way.
6.) Flesh Out The Divine Trees

The Divine Trees have a unique premise – their villains take over the bodies of existing characters. However, many of these antagonists feel underdeveloped emotionally. While Matsuri, who possessed Moegi’s form, had some compelling interactions with Konohamaru, the group as a whole hasn’t reached the level of impact achieved by villains like the Akatsuki. Previous antagonists such as Itachi, Pain, and Madara were so effective because of their personal connections and understandable motivations, qualities that the Divine Trees sometimes lack.
5.) Too Many People Are Being “Saved”

As a huge fan of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, I’ve been completely captivated by the incredible twist involving Eida and her reality-bending powers! It’s wild how she’s altered everyone’s perceptions – now they all think Kawaki is Naruto’s son, and poor Boruto is on the run, wrongly accused of hurting his parents, who are actually stuck in a strange, limbo-like state. We’ve seen some awesome fights, but what’s really cool is watching Boruto break Eida’s spell on his friends, like Shikimaru. Honestly, I think it’s brilliant that Boruto has to stay a fugitive for a while; it really emphasizes just how different the ninja world has become. But I’m getting the feeling that this part of the story – the spell and the altered reality – might be wrapping up soon, and I’d be a little sad to see it go!
4.) Give Code More To Do

Code has the potential to be a compelling villain in the Boruto series, given his current position and goals. While the Divine Trees are now the main threat, Code has quietly been amassing his own powerful army. As the last surviving member of Kara, driven by revenge for Jigen’s death, he could disrupt everything, but currently feels somewhat sidelined and unnecessary.
3.) More Changes

A major turning point in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex was the reveal that Boruto’s sister, Himawari, has become the new host of the Nine-Tailed Fox. Not only is Kurama’s return intriguing, but giving this powerful creature to Himawari unexpectedly puts her in a central role and adds a lot of excitement to the story. This is arguably the most impactful plot twist the Boruto sequel has delivered so far. While not every character needs a Tailed Beast, similar significant developments for less prominent characters could make the story even more engaging.
2.) Pick Up The Pace

After thirty-four chapters of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, it’s still unclear how many of the current storylines will be resolved. Many plot threads – including the Divine Trees, Code, Kawaki, Boruto’s condition, and the characters Eida and Daemon – are still ongoing. Because the manga comes out monthly, each chapter sometimes feels like it doesn’t advance the overall story enough. While the series doesn’t seem to be ending soon, it needs a clear central goal for the characters to work towards. There have been clues about who the main villain might be, but it’s hard to predict when they’ll actually appear.
1.) We Need The Anime Already

Some fans might consider it a shortcut, but it’s long overdue for the world of the Hidden Leaf Village to return to television. It’s been over three years since the last episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations finished airing, and there’s enough source material to give fans at least a season or two of new anime. Originally, Studio Pierrot planned to release four episodes of the original Naruto series the same year Boruto ended, but those episodes have been delayed. While Pierrot has been consistently releasing seasonal anime like Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War and Black Clover, a return for Boruto still hasn’t been announced.
