Hulk Hogan Laid to Rest After Private Funeral in Florida

Those close to Hulk Hogan have said their goodbyes.

On July 24, when he was 71 years old and following a heart attack, the professional wrestler (whose birth name is Terry Gene Bollea) was buried in Clearwater, Florida, as reported by several media sources on August 5.

The funeral ceremonies were held at the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home, as reported by People magazine, with images depicting gentlemen in black suits and vibrant orange flower pins escorting the casket of Hulk into the funeral parlor.

3 celebrities, namely Kid Rock, Triple H, and Theo Von, were seen arriving in Clearwater before the memorial, as reported by TMZ. Additionally, former WWE co-CEO Stephanie McMahon was present at the event. It remains unclear if any of Hulk’s family members, including his widow Sky Daily, ex-wife Linda Hogan, or son Nick Hogan, were in attendance.

It was unexpected when the WWE legend passed away, but it was revealed by TopMob News that he had a past struggle with atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). The Mayo Clinic describes CLL as a type of leukemia that progresses slowly, meaning treatment is usually not necessary immediately after diagnosis.

Following his demise, Sky, who tied the knot with the wrestling icon in 2023, posted a poignant tribute on Instagram, expressing her grief by saying, “I wasn’t prepared for this… and my heart is shattered into pieces.

He’d been facing some health challenges, but I firmly believed we could conquer them. I had immense trust in his resilience. I thought we had more time together. This passing has come unexpectedly and is hard to comprehend. To the world, he was a legend… but to me, he was Terry – the man I adored, my partner, my heart.

Regarding Linda, who was married to Hulk for 26 years before their 2009 divorce, she expressed in an Instagram comment, “I never imagined he would pass away so soon. We all believed he’d make a comeback! What a shock. We are all heartbroken. The grief is overwhelming.

She expressed, “I’ve cried throughout the entire day. The suddenness of it all is overwhelming. We shared countless moments over the years. I’ve been acquainted with him since he turned 28, and I was just 22 back then. Even now, I continue to cherish him.

Meanwhile, Nick attended the WWE’s tribute to his dad at SummerSlam 2025, it was revealed by his sister, Brooke Hogan, that they had been out of touch before his passing.

In a post on Instagram dated July 29, the 37-year-old expressed that there was never a significant argument between him and his father. Instead, they had a sequence of personal phone conversations that were private and would remain unknown to others.

And the former reality star has also raised some questions about her father’s death.

She remarked during her August 5th conversation with Bubba the Love Sponge, “It’s strange that no postmortem examination was conducted.” The crux of the matter is this: Yes, it’s possible to suffer a heart attack, but what triggered the heart attack is the point at issue.

Additionally, Brooke mentioned that she hadn’t known about Hulk’s cancer diagnosis, questioning how it could have gone unnoticed during his numerous operations throughout the years.

What’s confusing me,” she explained, “is that they claim he had leukemia, yet his blood tests consistently showed otherwise. One doctor even mentioned that his blood was comparable to a 25-year-old’s. He was meticulous about his health, regularly visiting an anti-aging specialist and getting routine blood panels before surgeries. It seems odd that no one picked up on a high white blood cell count given all the medical procedures he underwent.

Brooke went on saying, “What really troubles me is this. And I find it peculiar because there’s no history of cancer in our family.

After a 12-year long relationship with Jennifer McDaniel, Hulk started dating yoga instructor Sky Daily in 2022, having met at a Bret Michaels concert. They got married in September 2023.
