David Duchovny, 64, sells Malibu home for $11 million after marrying Monique Pendleberry, 31

David Duchovny has a lot to celebrate. 

Shortly after tying the knot with his long-time sweetheart, Monique Pendleberry (aged 31), he offloaded his stylish Malibu bachelor residence located on Point Dume for a handsome $11 million.

In a previous residence belonging to the actor from “The X-Files,” who is now 64 years old, there are three bedrooms. The unique feature of this property is its indoor-outdoor living design that spans approximately 3,580 square feet.

The home hit the market for $12.5 million after buying it for $4.75 million in 2016. 

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I initially secured my LA abode on lease from the creative genius behind “The X-Files,” Chris Carter, when I found myself in need of a West Coast haven.

Duchovny razed the existing house, and poured about $7 million into building the modern home.

One distinctive feature on the premises stands out, namely a charming guesthouse crafted from an original train car.

Duchovny expressed to WSJ that he is particularly pleased with this project, among all he’s ever created in his life, including a cozy space with living and sleeping quarters, a dining area, kitchen, bathroom, and an outdoor rooftop deck.

‘It’s just an amazing little spot to be in,’ he gushed.

Initially, he leased the property from the creator of The X-Files, Chris Carter, as he was seeking a base in Los Angeles at that time.

The spacious primary residence harmoniously unites indoor and outdoor environments, fostering a cool, laid-back ambiance across the entire area.

Beyond lies a spacious wooden terrace, snug seating area featuring integrated heating systems, a shimmering swimming pool, a sunken fireplace, and a fully equipped outdoor cooking station ideal for hosting events.

Additionally, you’ll discover a Jacuzzi, a cold plunge, and an outdoor shower, transforming the backyard into a secluded spa sanctuary.

He shares the home with his new wife Monique Pendleberry and their dogs, Brick and Rookie. 

Duchovny secretly married his much younger wife after six years of dating. 

Monique was just 24 when she started dating the then 58-year-old Californication star. 

Monique was born on the 14th of June, 1993, and attended high school in Newbury Park, located within Ventura County. She shone as the standout player on the school’s soccer team there.

After attending college, she played soccer for the University of California, Irvine. Currently, she operates a flower design business located in Malibu known as Friday Flowers.

Duchovny and Pendleberry have mostly maintained a low profile regarding their relationship, and they first publicly appeared together on the red carpet at the premiere of his movie “You People” in 2023.

In 2023, Dirk Drew shared with Radar Online that Monique had crossed paths at her workplace, a juice company. I had the chance to meet David prior to her, but we all have spent time together. They’ve ventured to New York, Canada, and Malibu as friends. However, they are not romantically involved; instead, they maintain a close friendship.

In 2017, the pair crossed paths at SunLife Organic Juicery, a place where Monique was employed. It turns out that one of David’s friends is the store’s owner.

Prior to Monique, David was married to actress Tea Leoni, 59, from 1997 to 2014. 

In 1997, they exchanged vows and swiftly emerged as one of Tinseltown’s influential duos, frequently lauded for maintaining a degree of privacy in the face of their celebrity status.

Yet, in 2008, a challenging period arose in their relationship when Duchovny sought treatment at a rehab facility for dealing with a sex addiction issue.

2011 saw the reunion of the once-separated individuals, an event that grabbed attention and brought about optimism for an enduring reconciliation.

After 17 years of marriage, the couple found themselves separating once more in a quiet manner, eventually legally ending their union in 2014 through a divorce settlement.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at the fact that the Duchovnys, my beloved duo, have not one but two incredible offspring. My heart swells with pride for their daughter, Madelaine West Duchovny, who at 24 years old, is already carving her own path in the world of acting. And then there’s Kyd Miller Duchovny, their son, who, at 21, has chosen to stay largely out of the limelight. Both have made me a proud fan!
