I’m super excited to share that I’ll be diving into the chilling world of “Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau,” a horror action game developed by Noto Muteki, which is set to drop on my PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series this summer! Can’t wait to get spooked!
Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau first launched for PC via Steam on October 4, 2024.
Here is an overview of the game, via AMATA Games:
In the game “Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau”, instead of being a passive participant in a traditional Japanese horror game where you can’t defend yourself against the ghosts, you become equally menacing as the spirits themselves.
The plot unfolds in Japan, where government officials perform exorcisms. One of these exorcists, Mizuki Shirakawa, hails from the Kinki Spiritual Affairs Bureau, and she’s been called to Saiga Village in Nara due to a strange occurrence: every trace of the village on the internet has vanished. Upon her arrival, she finds the villagers have mysteriously disappeared, and an unusual surge of illicit spirits seems to have taken over the village.
In the village, power, communication lines, and the internet are all disrupted, and Shiraishi discovers that someone is orchestrating the events leading to this incident.
Shiraishi delves into the enigma, receiving radio support from her supervisor Kohinata and her assistant Maruoka.
