79-year-old Richard Hurst, renowned for his role on the initial airing of “The Dukes of Hazzard” during the late ’70s and early ’80s, passed away recently.
Hurst’s wife, Candace Kaniecki, shared the news with TMZ on Thursday.
According to her, the television star died unexpectedly earlier on Thursday.
So far, no cause of death has been reported.
Hurst gained prominence playing Deputy Cletus Spuckler (a relative of Boss Hogg, the antagonist) on The Dukes of Hazzard TV series.
