Warning: This article delves into the events of the Bachelor in Paradise episode that aired on August 11. If you haven’t watched it yet, make sure you have an active Hulu subscription to stream it.”
This revised sentence maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language. The warning is clearly stated at the beginning of the sentence, and the use of “delves into” adds a sense of depth to the discussion that follows. Additionally, the phrase “make sure you have an active Hulu subscription” is more inviting than simply stating “if you need to catch up.
On the hit reality show “Bachelor in Paradise,” the action is heating up as the rebooted 10th season unfolds on this year’s television schedule. With a massive cash prize now at stake, relationships are becoming strained and manipulative tactics abound. The main source of turmoil revolves around Jeremy Simon secretly pursuing other interests while in partnership with Bailey Brown. This reached its peak in Episode 7, and although I don’t always find Wells Adams particularly appealing, his assessment of the contestants’ questionable behavior as a “douchebag code” is spot-on.
It’s widely recognized that Wells Adams is a well-liked figure in Bachelor Nation, but I often find myself at odds with the apparent contempt the bartender seems to hold for the young contestants, referring to them as “drunk idiots” on the show. However, I must admit that he was absolutely correct in his analysis of the Jeremy Simon situation. When Brian Autz shared information about Bailey Brown’s ex trying to win over Susie Evans, Adams made a valid point that it wasn’t fair for Brian to be vilified for simply spreading gossip.
The ongoing story involving Bailey, Brian, Jeremy, and Susie is leaving me utterly bewildered. It’s as if I’ve been given some mind-bending medication! People are upset with Brian for informing Bailey about Jeremy calling another woman and suggesting he would depart Paradise with her that day if she returned. Yet, it seems nobody considers this a major warning sign? Apparently, everyone was aware of the situation but chose not to share it with Bailey?
It’s noteworthy that Wells Adams has been acting as a voice of reason on Bachelor in Paradise. Frankly, it doesn’t matter when he started, but I was relieved to hear some sense being spoken. I felt like I wasn’t alone in my thoughts. Now, the question arises, how did Brian Autz end up being seen as the antagonist in this scenario? The bartender further explained…
It seems that everyone is using the “bro code” excuse to justify their actions, but from my perspective at the bar, it appears that Jeremy’s behavior is more akin to douchebag code, and Brian is the one acting appropriately in this situation. Is it possible that there’s some misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the bro code here?
Oh my, many thanks to Wells! It seems there was plenty of discussion about the ‘bro code,’ but what about the ‘girl code?’ All those ladies were aware that Jeremy admitted to regretting giving his rose to Bailey Brown over Susie Evans. He even reached out to Susie, asking her back. Why let Bailey – their friend – endure such embarrassment on live TV? That doesn’t seem right according to the ‘girl code,’ does it?

Watching it was incredibly exasperating, but hearing Wells Adams introduce some logic to the madness was a breath of fresh air. I’m all for his new term “douchebag code,” and I can understand why The Bachelorette alum felt so pleased with himself, as he proudly posted about it on X.
Perhaps I wasn’t initially a big admirer of Wells Adams, but his approach to addressing the questionable actions of the Bachelor in Paradise cast is certainly changing my opinion. Don’t miss out as things continue to heat up on the beach during Season 10, airing at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, August 18th on ABC. Catch up on the latest episodes the next day on Hulu.
