The lineup for the Gamescom Opening Night Live event is growing as Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games, confirms that Lords of the Fallen 2 will be unveiled during the show. This announcement comes after hints from host and producer Geoff Keighley, who suggested “Blood marks the beginning,” a possible reference to the sequel’s storyline.
Last year, after the 2023 reboot, it was revealed that Lords of the Fallen 2 is planned for release in 2026. Epic Games will be publishing the PC version of this game, which typically means it will only be available on their storefront. Details about the sequel are still scarce, but Ryan Hill, marketing director at CI Games, hinted that it would respond to all feedback from the original game by focusing more on quality rather than quantity.
The goal is to attract a larger number of potential users with an enhanced sign-up process, a more welcoming aesthetic, and narratives that resonate in the west. Notably, Walter Mair, who created the soundtrack for “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” in 2023, is also participating in this project.
On August 19th at 11 AM PDT during Gamescom Opening Night Live, we’ll uncover more details. So far, confirmed games include Resident Evil Requiem, Honor of Kings: World, Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, Silent Hill (unspecified), Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and the opening movie for World of Warcraft: Midnight.
