For $64.95 per individual, this pre-booked event takes place every Friday and Saturday from September 5, 2025, to November 22, 2025, during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Sessions are available between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. The buffet offers a delightful assortment of French delicacies including croissants, pain au chocolat, almond croissants, fresh baguettes with butter and jams, premium cheeses, cured meats, smoked salmon, and seasonal fruits.

In addition to enjoying a variety of foods, guests who are 21 years old or older can indulge in bottomless mimosas at EPCOT, prepared using French champagne and accompanied by options of fruit juices and coffee for everyone.
As this new addition emulates the ambiance of a classic Parisian café, it comes at a time when there is increasing debate about EPCOT’s developing persona. Known as the mature destination within Walt Disney World, EPCOT has built a distinctive image through its “Sip Around the World” custom, where visitors taste various alcoholic beverages from each of the 11 World Showcase exhibits. During occasions like Food & Wine, this tippling tradition turns the park into a sanctuary for indulgence.
The new feature resembles a Parisian café and is entering a period where people are talking about EPCOT’s changing character. EPCOT, often seen as the “adult park” in Disney World, has become famous for its “Tasting Around the World” practice, where guests try different drinks from each of the 11 pavilions. During events like Food & Wine, this drinking tradition turns the park into a place for enjoying life.

For example, in April 2025, a man from Florida was apprehended after he disrobed to his underwear, vandalized a sales kiosk while being intoxicated.
A month after, revelers spontaneously swam at the America Pavilion amidst an intoxicated performance of the national anthem, which prompted their subsequent ejection by security personnel.

These incidents aren’t individual occurrences; on March 2025, the police were summoned to EPCOT due to two men verbally harassing employees and escalating into a physical altercation. In June 2024, a video footage showed an intoxicated guest attacking an employee at the same location. He used a metal stanchion as a weapon and was eventually subdued with a taser.
More unsettling stories also emerge, such as guests biting others, throwing up, or passing out due to excessive drinking, according to online discussions and news articles. A notable 2022 incident gained significant attention when a woman who seemed drunk was forcibly removed from the UK Pavilion, prompting extensive social media debates. Additionally, in May 2023, a tourist aged 33 experienced a breakdown, laying in the rain, assaulting a staff member, and attempting to sneak backstage at the Mexico Pavilion.

In the same vein, the revamped Spaceship Earth lounge has been earmarked as an adults-only area, suggesting a shift in focus away from family entertainment.
Initially, EPCOT maintained a harmonious blend of educational displays and family-friendly attractions. However, its festivals now lean more towards activities geared towards adults, such as wine tastings and late-night performances. According to one assessment, the park’s growing association with “drinking around the world” is altering the classic Disney experience, making it less inviting for families with young children.

It is reasonable for parents to have worries about this development. EPCOT was initially designed as a platform displaying diverse cultures and cutting-edge technology, offering children the opportunity to learn about the world by experiencing various pavilions. However, with alcohol being served freely starting from the morning, there’s an increased likelihood of encountering inappropriate behavior, which could turn a family trip into an uneasy experience.
Visitors’ feedback indicates that some intoxicated adults are spoiling the atmosphere, with disruptive behavior ranging from boisterous arguments to even physical fights. Although Disney employees are equipped to deal with obviously affected guests by limiting their service, the application of these measures can sometimes be unpredictable.
