The Australian television show spins around three companions whose friendship was severely strained due to the harrowing experiences they encountered on a single fateful night twenty years prior.
According to the official summary, Simone (known as Nicole da Silva), at last, penned down the tale that had long lingered in her thoughts, and surprisingly, her initial work saw rapid success.
It quickly becomes clear that the heartbreaking tale the book portrays isn’t solely Simone’s story. Instead, at the core of her novel lies a shared tragedy that affected Tess (played by Jodie Whittaker) and Hat (Yael Stone), Simone’s two dearest childhood friends as well.
In the face of increasing confusion between truth and falsehood, personal recollections and narratives, the book appears poised to disrupt every relationship among them. It unearths long-buried traumas from their childhood home by the coast, reawakening those who were responsible for these events, who are now determined to suppress it all once more.
