The much-anticipated comeback of Sega’s iconic side-scroller, Shinobi, is set to launch this month after a delay. In Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, the story of Joe Musashi unfolds across more than a dozen stages, including the scorching hot Desert. Take a look at the latest trailer below for a sneak peek.
The adventure commences in a seemingly harmless manner – encounters with menacing living statues, traps filled with sharp spikes to navigate, and hostile ninja fighters are among the early challenges. But suddenly, a colossal skull-shaped specter sweeps ominously across the screen. Smaller spectral foes appear at various locations to harass Joe, but evading the skull, particularly when it gives chase, is crucial. However, there may be instances where you can exploit its presence to your advantage.
As Joe plunges deeper, the endless sandy expanse at the surface is just the beginning. He encounters age-old architectural wonders and discovers hidden passageways along his journey.
