In the album “The Life of a Showgirl,” track two is titled “Elizabeth Taylor” – a name that isn’t new to the “Karma” singer as they have previously shown an affinity for the iconic old Hollywood actress who passed away in 2011.

In simpler terms, Taylor Swift once referred to herself as being similar to the character of Cleopatra, comparing her love interest on the song “…Ready For It?” to Richard Burton, whom she married not just once but twice (in 1965 and again in 1975) after a short-lived separation. More recently, Swift showed renewed interest in the actress of National Velvet when she received a gift from her friend Keleigh Teller on her 34th birthday in 2023.

Keleigh, Swift exclaimed in a shared Instagram story, ‘This is extraordinary! It’s as if Opal and blue topaz were made just for Elizabeth Taylor, but they’ve ended up being a present for me instead.’

To which Keleigh sweetly responded, “You’re my Elizabeth Taylor.”
