As a die-hard Naruto fan, I can’t help but reflect on the potential future that awaits our beloved Seventh Hokage. Despite his incredible ability to summon shadow clones and balance his duties as a father, it seems the coming days may necessitate him relinquishing his role as Hokage to fully focus on his family. With our dear Himawari grappling with the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox and Boruto facing the consequences of Eida’s enchantment, should Naruto and Hinata return from their exile, they will undoubtedly have their hands full in addressing the pressing issues surrounding their immediate family.
Keep An Eye on Kawaki
In simpler terms, had the Seventh Hokage been able to counsel Kawaki and prevent him from acting on some of his extreme ideas, Naruto might have continued living in the Hidden Leaf. Even if Kawaki and Boruto eventually resolve their issues, Kawaki, being the former Otsutsuki vessel, still requires close supervision.
Interacting With Other Villages
Among all the titles Naruto could claim for himself, being a politician isn’t one of them. Unlike an island, Konoha is just one of several villages that form the ninja world. In matters of diplomacy and communicating with both friends and foes, the Seventh Hokage heavily depends on Shikamaru. Instead of continuing as the middleman, why not explore another role for Uzumaki within the Hidden Leaf?
Naruto is Too Forgiving
Given Orochimaru’s notorious history of violent actions, one might question whether many ninjas outside of Naruto’s village would be content knowing he remains active within their community. Despite his claims of leaving his wicked past behind and gifting Konoha a powerful ninja like Mitsuki, the fact that he has never truly faced justice for his crimes seems hard to accept. The extensive list of casualties Orochimaru has inflicted is likely far beyond comprehension, and it continues to feel unsettling that he was able to evade responsibility in the Boruto series.
Needs to be Training
Since Kurama is no longer inhabiting Naruto’s body, it’s high time for the Seventh Hokage to retire his animosity and focus on enhancing his chakra abilities. Even with his Toad Sage skills and moves learned from mentors like Jiraiya and Kakashi, he must elevate his performance to face the growing threats. Considering that Boruto and Himawari may surpass Naruto in strength, it’s essential to keep pace with them. It’s time for Naruto to return to active duty and rejoin the battlefield.
Naruto Doesn’t Work in an Office Setting
In simpler terms, having Naruto as the Hokage might seem like the pinnacle of acceptance from Konoha, but it feels less fitting for his character. Instead, a role similar to his mentor Jiraiya, where he travels and helps people he encounters, seems more suitable. For Naruto, working at a desk never appears appropriate, implying that he’s not the perfect fit as the leader of Konoha. On the other hand, it makes more sense for characters like Sakura to follow in Tsunade’s footsteps and become the next Hokage rather than Naruto himself.
Lacks a Killer Instinct
Naruto, despite having a scary side due to Kurama’s influence, generally appears as someone unwilling to let people die or kill others for his objectives. This characteristic is more in line with Shikamaru’s demeanor, but Naruto would strive to find a less violent solution instead, which could lead to trouble if he encounters opponents like Kara and the Divine Trees. However, this doesn’t imply that Konoha should have another Danzo leading its operations; rather, finding a balance might be the ideal approach.
Naruto’s Simply Bad At It
At the close of the day, it’s evident that Naruto doesn’t shine as an exceptional Hokage. Although he can navigate calm waters effectively, his performance against Jiren and the ongoing threat to the village has been less than satisfactory. The stories in “Boruto: Two Blue Vortex” have sparked intrigue, but unfortunately, the ninja world is experiencing a slump due to recent events. With Naruto Uzumaki potentially returning, it’s high time for him to retire from his position and seek new opportunities elsewhere. There are plenty of valid reasons suggesting he should step down as Hokage.
