Due to some unexpected playfulness from his wife Bunnie Xo, the “Son of a Sinner” singer found himself caught off balance by two surprise tackles.
In a TikTok video posted on August 15th, Bunnie (formerly known as Alyssa DeFord) referenced Jelly’s significant weight loss of around 200 pounds over the past two years, stating, “Just making sure he’s still my cuddly one after all the weight loss.
In the video, Jelly Roll (formerly known as Bradley DeFord) was depicted leaning against a rock wall. His partner from the “Dumb Blonde” podcast, whom he married in 2016, was in front of him. All of a sudden, she lunged forward and pressed her chest against his, causing Jelly Roll to look surprised and exclaim “Whoa.” He then teasingly encouraged her to do it again.
After the second slam, Jelly Roll play-acted a look of discomfort before drawing Bunnie, who is the stepmother to his children Bailee Ann, 17, and Noah Buddy, 8, from past relationships, into an affectionate kiss and hug. During this moment, he placed his hands on her lower back and gently squeezed it.
Over time, the depth of their affection hasn’t wavered, but Jelly’s physical form has undergone significant transformation. Recently, he shared about his weight loss journey and delivered an inspiring talk to the Tennessee Titans football squad regarding his progress.

As she recounted on the podcast ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’, she encountered the singer in August 2015, when he performed at the Las Vegas Country Club. This was prior to his rise to fame, as he was living in a van and there were roughly 20 people attending the show.
In spite of their differences, their connection was undeniable. “When I met him,” Bunnie said on the podcast in 2023, “my soul seemed to say, ‘There you are.'” She added that Jelly Roll was not her typical type, but something about him captivated her instantly.
A romantic relationship didn’t develop immediately. At the time, Bunnie was involved in an unhealthy relationship, and Jelly Roll was pursuing his career. However, they reconnected in October 2015. As Bunnie put it, she found herself smitten.
After her ex went to prison, she confided in a friend, asking them to give Jelly Roll her phone number. Jelly Roll would call and text her for advice on his daughter Bailee from a previous relationship.
However, Bunnie noted that their bond transformed from friendship into romance in July 2016, when Jelly Roll returned to Las Vegas to shoot some videos. They spent a night together while under the influence of alcohol. “We were drunk as skunks,” she recalled, “and this guy was asking me about my five-year plan!”
Intrigued by his question, they discussed their future goals, and Jelly Roll responded, “OK, cool. Let’s do it.
After getting married in August 2016 at the Stained Glass Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Bunnie mentioned on Bussin’ With The Boys that they had accomplished their five-year plan. This included buying their own house.

“My husband has had enough of the internet’s harassment about his weight,” she said. “It makes me sad because he is such a sweet soul.”
Though Jelly Roll may not openly show how these comments affect him, Bunnie pointed out that they still take a toll.
“The internet can say whatever it wants about you, and they claim, ‘You’re a celebrity. You should be able to deal with it,'” she continued. “But we’re not robots. We feel pain too.”
Bunnie reiterated that such behavior is never acceptable.
“Please don’t bully people,” she said. “You never know what they’re going through emotionally.”

“We have been conferring with IVF doctors and examining all our options to extend our family,” she went on. “Jelly Roll and I are both excited and scared at the same time. We never thought we’d consider adding to our family, but something changed this year and we just want a piece of us together to enrich our already wonderful family with Bailee and Noah.
