Bunnie Xo Has Painful Reaction to Jelly Roll’s 200-Pound Weight Loss

Jelly Roll almost had his filling squeezed out.

Due to some unexpected playfulness from his wife Bunnie Xo, the “Son of a Sinner” singer found himself caught off balance by two surprise tackles.

In a TikTok video posted on August 15th, Bunnie (formerly known as Alyssa DeFord) referenced Jelly’s significant weight loss of around 200 pounds over the past two years, stating, “Just making sure he’s still my cuddly one after all the weight loss.

In the video, Jelly Roll (formerly known as Bradley DeFord) was depicted leaning against a rock wall. His partner from the “Dumb Blonde” podcast, whom he married in 2016, was in front of him. All of a sudden, she lunged forward and pressed her chest against his, causing Jelly Roll to look surprised and exclaim “Whoa.” He then teasingly encouraged her to do it again.

After the second slam, Jelly Roll play-acted a look of discomfort before drawing Bunnie, who is the stepmother to his children Bailee Ann, 17, and Noah Buddy, 8, from past relationships, into an affectionate kiss and hug. During this moment, he placed his hands on her lower back and gently squeezed it.

Over time, the depth of their affection hasn’t wavered, but Jelly’s physical form has undergone significant transformation. Recently, he shared about his weight loss journey and delivered an inspiring talk to the Tennessee Titans football squad regarding his progress.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can hardly contain my excitement as I stand on the sidelines, yet somehow, miraculously close. I’ve embarked on an incredible journey that has seen me shed an astounding 200 pounds, and let me tell you, it hasn’t been easy. But ” The countdown begins!

Indeed, Jelly Roll, who initially weighed 540 pounds, has been determined not only because of his personal goal but also for various other reasons as well.

He remarked on Jimmy Kimmel Live in April that to enjoy life’s exciting activities, one should be under 250 years old. He expressed his intentions to engage in skydiving, rollercoaster rides, bullriding, and even wrestle an alligator. Essentially, he has a list of adventures he wishes to experience.

Read on for a look through Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo’s cutest moments as a couple.

The romantic tale of Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll commenced in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. As she recounted on the podcast ‘Bussin’ With The Boys’, she encountered the singer in August 2015, when he performed at the Las Vegas Country Club. This was prior to his rise to fame, as he was living in a van and there were roughly 20 people attending the show.

In spite of their differences, their connection was undeniable. “When I met him,” Bunnie said on the podcast in 2023, “my soul seemed to say, ‘There you are.'” She added that Jelly Roll was not her typical type, but something about him captivated her instantly.

A romantic relationship didn’t develop immediately. At the time, Bunnie was involved in an unhealthy relationship, and Jelly Roll was pursuing his career. However, they reconnected in October 2015. As Bunnie put it, she found herself smitten.

After her ex went to prison, she confided in a friend, asking them to give Jelly Roll her phone number. Jelly Roll would call and text her for advice on his daughter Bailee from a previous relationship.

However, Bunnie noted that their bond transformed from friendship into romance in July 2016, when Jelly Roll returned to Las Vegas to shoot some videos. They spent a night together while under the influence of alcohol. “We were drunk as skunks,” she recalled, “and this guy was asking me about my five-year plan!”

Intrigued by his question, they discussed their future goals, and Jelly Roll responded, “OK, cool. Let’s do it.

After getting married in August 2016 at the Stained Glass Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Bunnie mentioned on Bussin’ With The Boys that they had accomplished their five-year plan. This included buying their own house.

Bunnie expressed her desire for a talk show after leaving the sex work industry in 2019. As per Jelly Roll on The Howard Stern Show in June 2024, he recalled Bunnie saying she’d love to start a kind of talk show.

Following her exit from the sex work industry in 2019, Bunnie launched her podcast, Dumb Blonde, later that year. Not only did she use her earnings to support Jelly Roll’s dreams but also helped him obtain custody of his daughter and invest in his 2017 album, Addiction Kills, as she shared on Sofia Franklyn’s podcast, Sofia with an F.

Jelly Roll’s daughter, Bailee, was born in 2008 while he was incarcerated on drug charges. In his 2023 documentary titled “Jelly Roll: Save Me,” Jelly Roll stated that Bailee saved his life, as she was too young to understand it at the time.

When Bailee was two years old, her father entered her life during the early stages of his music career and resided in a van. Although Jelly Roll acknowledged that he was not a very present father initially, this changed when he sought full custody of Bailee amid her mother’s addiction struggles.

Though Jelly Roll and Bunnie were just beginning their relationship, she financed a lawyer and covered all the expenses during the custody battle. Their lives underwent significant changes as they re-evaluated their actions.

Bunnie shared on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast that she funded the legal proceedings, and the two of them decided to turn over a new leaf in life. Bunnie said in the documentary, “Who were we to take her from her mom and bring her into our house if we’re just as troubled? What makes us better?” This realization led Bunnie to quit using drugs, stating that she never touched a pill again after this moment.

Bunnie also took on a maternal role in Bailee’s life. For Bailee’s Sweet 16 birthday celebration in 2024, Bunnie wrote on social media, “Thank you Papa Roll for giving me the opportunity to be the mother I never had. But most importantly-Thank you to the sweetest, sassiest 16 year old for teaching me the most healing life lessons ever these past 8 years & letting me be your mama.

In August 2016, just before Jelly Roll married Bunnie and during his pursuit of custody for Bailee, their son Noah was born. The “Need a Favor” artist expressed his feelings about the birth on Facebook, saying “God Bless this Child to be everything I am not!” and hoping neither Noah nor Bailee would have to bear the consequences of their father’s actions.

Over the years, Jelly Roll and Bunnie have mostly kept Noah’s life private, but they’ve provided occasional glimpses. For instance, in July 2023, Bunnie shared a TikTok where she asked Noah questions about his favorite sport (soccer) and activities at the beach (playing in the water). She made sure to clarify that she had asked his mother for permission before posting the video, commenting “always mama approved first.”

Bunnie and Jelly Roll maintain a good relationship with Noah’s mother. In a 2023 Facebook post, Bunnie praised her, writing “She’s one stand-up chick & we couldn’t imagine our lives without her…she holds it down for baby Noah & us especially because we are on the road so much.”

Bunnie also cherishes her role as Noah’s stepmother. In an October 2024 Instagram post, she expressed her gratitude, saying “Nothing brings me more joy than getting to watch my bonus babies grow up…I’m not one to get emotional but just being in this little boy’s life since the day he was born is such a privilege.” She also thanked Noah’s mother for their partnership.

Two years following their wedding in 2016, Jelly Roll and Bunnie parted ways. However, the bond of their love refused to be severed, and they found themselves drawn back to each other later that year. In a TikTok post from February 2023, Bunnie penned: “Who would have thought that our separation in 2018, with me returning to Las Vegas and you coming for me – would set us on this unpredictable path called life.” Eventually, they made the decision to commit to one another and honor all the promises they had made during their initial encounter in 2016. Their temporary ‘castle in the sand’ had to collapse so that they could rebuild upon a stronger foundation. Bunnie expresses her deep affection for him with the words: “I love you so much.

In the chronicles of Jelly Roll’s ascending stardom, it was a momentous occasion when Bunnie and I graced the red carpet together at the 2022 CMA Awards. As I put it in ‘Jelly Roll: Save Me’, “We’re like the offbeat duo from the country era, outliers who somehow ended up here.

2023 marked the occasion when Jelly Roll and Bunnie remarried, seven years after their initial wedding ceremony. In a heartfelt tribute, Jelly Roll spoke about his first walk down the aisle, recalling that he had told her, “Bunnie, our lives won’t always be like this. You won’t have to do what you do for much longer, we’re going to figure this out. I promise you.”

True to his word, he fulfilled his promise.

“I had no idea what the future held for us, but as long as I had you by my side, I was ready to conquer it,” Bunnie expressed in her September 2023 message. “The past seven years have been a rollercoaster ride through a dark fairy tale. Overcoming our challenges together wasn’t always simple, but we persevered to become the people we are today. We worked hard to heal from our childhood traumas and learn to love in a healthy way. Together, we overcame obstacles and built a home that Bailee can be proud of. No matter what life threw at us, we walked through it hand in hand with smiles.”

They continue to support each other as they move forward.

“You are the missing piece of my puzzle,” Bunnie told Jelly Roll. “My sanctuary. The man who makes me feel confident and empowered in my femininity. My best friend, my hero, and the most remarkable man I’ve ever known. They don’t make men like you anymore, Jason DeFord.

They maintain a harmonious relationship, and interestingly, Bunnie has been an inspiration for some of Jelly Roll’s songs like “Woman,” “Kill a Man,” among others. The country music star expressed his admiration for the latter track during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, saying, “She’s the best, man.” He further explained that he struggled to write heartfelt love songs without compromising his masculinity until he penned “Woman.” He wanted to create a song that was sincere and vulnerable yet retained his manly charm. Jelly Roll and Bunnie have also shared screen time in the music videos for “Wheels Fall Off” and “Lonely Road,” featuring Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.

Regardless if they’re present or watching at home, Bunnie consistently expresses her support for Jelly Roll. In a tribute marking his 2024 CMT Music Awards, she fondly referred to him as “my sweet husband, the visionary… the maestro of misfits.” She acknowledged that his success didn’t happen overnight, rather it was a 20-year journey filled with ups and downs, including days when they thought no one was listening to his music, followed by sold-out arenas.

Bunnie shared her admiration for Jelly Roll’s ability to pour his soul into his lyrics, writing songs that resonate deeply with those who feel broken. She described these songs as therapeutic hymns that heal the cracks in people’s souls and make them feel understood and seen.

The couple’s unwavering support for each other throughout this journey has been a source of inspiration for their fans. Bunnie wrote, “Papabear your voice is an instrument of healing & the world is your choir.” She expressed her love for him, stating that she cherishes being by his side in this life and every other one she’s lucky to live.

Jelly Roll, too, shows his appreciation for Bunnie, acknowledging the impact she has on their followers, particularly women. In a message for their eight anniversary, he admired the influence she wields on social media and through her podcast, expressing joy at seeing the way she inspires people, especially other women.

But let’s be clear, Bunnie XO won’t shower you with affection if you target her partner.

On an April 2024 episode of Dumb Blonde, the social media personality spoke out against hurtful online comments directed towards Jelly Roll regarding his weight. She expressed her husband’s frustration and even shed tears over the constant bullying.

“My husband has had enough of the internet’s harassment about his weight,” she said. “It makes me sad because he is such a sweet soul.”

Though Jelly Roll may not openly show how these comments affect him, Bunnie pointed out that they still take a toll.

“The internet can say whatever it wants about you, and they claim, ‘You’re a celebrity. You should be able to deal with it,'” she continued. “But we’re not robots. We feel pain too.”

Bunnie reiterated that such behavior is never acceptable.

“Please don’t bully people,” she said. “You never know what they’re going through emotionally.”

Lastly, Bunnie made it clear that she won’t stand idly by when faced with bullies.

“I’m sorry, but I will defend all the underdogs,” she noted. “You’ll never bully me or my family, and I’ll keep fighting until the end.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie have chosen to be transparent about their attempts to expand their family. After Jelly Roll mentioned they’ve pondered having another child, his wife disclosed the measures they’ve taken.

In a June 2024 Instagram post, Bunnie wrote, “We intended to keep this private, but we realized our journey with In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) should be shared because we’ve always been so open.”

“Given the challenges stacked against us,” she added, “it has already been tough and we’re only just starting out.”

They continue to stay optimistic.

“We have been conferring with IVF doctors and examining all our options to extend our family,” she went on. “Jelly Roll and I are both excited and scared at the same time. We never thought we’d consider adding to our family, but something changed this year and we just want a piece of us together to enrich our already wonderful family with Bailee and Noah.
