Jen Affleck Goes Into Labor & Gets Cervix Checked At Nail Salon

Jen Affleck got more than her nails done at her latest beauty appointment.

During a recent nail appointment, the actress from “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” confided that her session took an unexpected turn when she suddenly went into labor at 39 weeks while being pampered.

In a TikTok post dated June 26th, Jen wrote, “You’re feeling contractions while getting a manicure (Point of View).

In a TikTok video posted on June 26th, the reality TV personality, while seated at her nail salon, expressed to the camera, “I’m feeling fantastic.” Over the phone, she shared with someone, “I’m currently in labor as I’m timing my contractions using my iPhone.

As a devoted mother, I recently found myself in an unusual yet reassuring setting – a salon, where my nails were freshly painted, while preparing for a unique health check-up. Accompanied by my 3-year-old daughter Nora and 23-month-old son Lucas, who share this journey with me and my husband Zac Affleck, I was about to undergo a series of squats before listening to our baby’s heartbeat using a portable Doppler ultrasound device. However, this makeshift health appointment didn’t conclude there; the 26-year-old in me had another task – having my cervix checked right on the salon floor.

While Kortney Poulson, Jen’s nail technician, remained unfazed by the surprising developments, she humorously commented under the video with laughter emojis, “A cervix check on the salon floor was the unexpected twist in the story we didn’t see coming.

Regarding whether Jen received the nail design she desired, Kortney responded affirmatively to a comment, saying “Absolutely!” or simply “Yes, she did.

For Jen, who tied the knot with Zac in 2019, a year following their college encounter, her aspiration for a large family was never something she kept hidden.

She shared with People magazine during her pregnancy announcement in February that, having grown up with many foster children, she’s long harbored a desire for a large family. To see this dream become reality is not only exhilarating but also deeply satisfying for her.

She acknowledged that managing three infants while pursuing her career could feel overwhelming, but she’s prepared to tackle this challenge head-on. Moreover, she expressed her desire to demonstrate to women and mothers everywhere that they can accomplish any goal they aspire to, regardless of how seemingly impossible it might appear at first glance.
