Age of Empires 4: Commemorative Version has been unveiled for PlayStation 5, marking one more of Xbox’s exclusive games to transition to this platform.
The well-received RTS arrives on Sony’s console on 4th November 2025, as noted by the new trailer:
Apart from the PlayStation 5 (PS5) edition, Age of Empires 4 is also set to introduce fresh content. Coinciding with the PS5 release, a new expansion called “Dynasties of the East” is being introduced, and it’s planned for play on the PS5 as well.
Alongside it, there’s a new mode named The Crucible, offering a unique spin on the cherished series. In this mode, you’ll acquire powerful advantages (Boons) that can tip the balance in your favor against opposing armies.

You have the opportunity to pre-purchase the game currently available on PlayStation Store. By opting for the Premium edition, you’ll gain early access to the game, starting five days before its official release date.
