As a die-hard fan of spine-tingling games, I’m thrilled to share that my favorite gaming crew, Bloober Team, has just dropped a fresh new trailer for their upcoming third-person survival horror masterpiece – “Cronos: The New Dawn.” This one’s being touted as a whole new breed of horror that’s got me counting the days until its release!
Get the latest details below.
The film starts with a unique viewpoint from a cat’s eye, offering an unsettling, low-level angle that transforms the ordinary into something dreamlike. To make things even more intriguing, The Traveler graced the stage in an elaborate costume-emerging from nowhere and taking center stage, merging the virtual world of the game with reality almost imperceptibly.
Cronos: A New Day Dawns” is a chilling survival horror experience in third-person perspective, crafted by the distinguished horror team at Bloober, who gained critical recognition for their remake of Silent Hill 2.
The game is centered on a compelling, one-of-a-kind storyline that unfolds in New Dawn, a creative representation of the Nowa Huta district in Kraków, Poland, in an abstract sense. The tale spans two distinct periods: a bleak post-apocalyptic future contrasted with the harsh industrial life of the 1980s. This extraordinary setting combines retro realism with dystopian sci-fi and a futuristic ambiance from yesteryear, resulting in a richly immersive world brimming with suspense, enigma, and profound psychological nuances.
During this year’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event, a captivating new cinematic trailer was unveiled on the main stage, and to everyone’s amazement, The Traveler made an unexpected cameo.
The trailer takes us on a journey through the eerie, post-apocalyptic ruins of New Dawn. It starts off with an intriguing scene featuring a cat exploring the desolate environment. As it progresses, it moves into stunning visuals showcasing The Traveler, the game’s main character, and the adventures we’ll experience alongside him. We witness intense, nerve-wracking confrontations between The Traveler and The Orphans, menacing creatures lurking in this shattered world. Throughout this adventure, the haunting melody of “Sixteen Days / Gathering Dust” by This Mortal Coil underscores the mystery and ambiance, making the experience even more captivating.
The game titled “Cronos: The New Dawn” will be released on September 5 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo’s upcoming Switch 2, and PC platforms (specifically on Steam and the Epic Games Store).
