On August 28, the innovative storytelling game “Star Trek: Resurgence” from Dramatic Labs will be available to purchase through the Nintendo eShop for Switch at a price of $19.99. The announcement was made by the developer themselves.
The highly-anticipated game, Star Trek: Resurgence, was released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and computers using the Epic Games Store on May 23rd, 2023.
Here is an overview of the game, via Dramatic Labs:
As a die-hard fan, I’m excitedly immersed in “Star Trek: Resurgence,” an extraordinary interactive story that unfolds just beyond the horizon of “Star Trek: The Next Generation”‘s timeframe. Tensions are simmering between two alien cultures, and it falls to Starfleet to maintain peace in this precarious situation, as a worker uprising threatens to disrupt the delicate balance.
In simpler terms, the story unfolds from two primary viewpoints. Jara Rydek, the First Officer on U.S.S. RESOLUTE, is involved with a diplomatic team headed by Ambassador Spock, whose mission is to resolve the crisis and discover the root of this complex predicament. On the other hand, Carter Diaz, an engineering crew member, provides insights into how the situation unfolds from the lower decks, personally experiencing and contributing to the events in a unique manner.
In this thrilling tale, players have an unprecedented opportunity to engage with the Star Trek universe, experiencing genuine actions and making crucial choices that subtly yet unpredictably impact the overall storyline.
