Developers Publisher and the up-and-coming Italian studio Sedleo have unveiled the action-adventure game set in 14th-century Italy titled 1348 Ex Voto. The game will be playable on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam. It is slated for release in early 2026.

The story follows Aeta, voiced by Alby Baldwin, as she embarks on a harrowing journey across the Italian Peninsula to locate her loved one, Bianca (portrayed by Jennifer English), after their village is attacked by bandits.
The inaugural venture of the recently established studio Sedleo, headquartered in Italy, is titled “1348 Ex Voto.” This studio was brought into existence by Tom Oceano, serving as the game director, along with Fabiola Martelli, acting as studio director. By enlisting a team consisting of seasoned professionals from the AAA industry, they aim to breathe life into their unique narratives and produce top-tier games.
In their pursuit to develop authentic, lifelike settings, Sedleo found Italy, being an Italian team, to be a fitting choice. They immersed themselves extensively in the rural regions of the peninsula, meticulously studying and documenting landscapes that would aid them in creating a convincing and story-appropriate world for their narrative.
In the year 1348, Italy experienced one of its most tragic periods. This was a time marked by the widespread outbreak of diseases and pestilence, causing chaos and instability in an already delicate medieval society. The population faced heightened levels of violence and crime from bandits and mercenaries, while religious fanatics ran rampant. Simultaneously, the upper echelons grappled with a power vacuum that weakened leadership significantly.
Under these particular conditions, a young noble named Aeta tragically loses sight of her dearest friend, Bianca, after a bandit attack on their village. Given that Aeta was in the process of knight training, she embarks on a mission to locate Bianca herself. This journey will be fraught with hardships, taking her through various landscapes and battles as she navigates medieval Italy en route to her objective.
