Update #1 [Mon 18th Aug 2025, 1:10pm]: It turns out that it isn’t only Euro Truck Simulator 2 making its way to PS5. In fact, a PlayStation Store page for the American version of the game has recently been discovered.
As a gamer, I’m pumped to share that the game developer SCS Software is bringing not just one but both of their smash-hit PC games to Sony’s latest console. And here’s some exciting news for fellow gamers: The presence of these games on the PS Store hints at an official announcement being imminent! Check it out!
It’s obviously Gamescom this week, so an imminent reveal makes total sense.
I’m thrilled to share that it seems Euro Truck Simulator is going to join the PlayStation community soon, based on a recent leak from the PlayStation Store.
A post on Reddit by user ‘jack_jab’ has uncovered a page for Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the PS5 store, hinting that an announcement could be coming soon. The listing currently lacks a product description and a release date, but you have the option to add it to your wishlist.
Euro Truck Simulator and American Truck Simulator, developed by SCS Software, are long-standing leaders in the realm of simulation games focused on road travel, having been a mainstay on PC platforms for quite some time. It’s surprising that the team has not previously explored console ports; however, it’s better late than never as they have finally decided to bring these games to consoles!
In Euro Truck Simulator 2, as suggested by its title, you’ll find yourself transporting goods across various European locations. The game emphasizes adherence to traffic regulations, and offers an opportunity for you to build and expand your own successful trucking business, earning substantial profits along the way.
It’s noteworthy that Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2), often referred to by its abbreviation, has seen numerous expansions throughout the years. With a variety of downloadable content packs (DLCs) being released, there are new destinations and types of freight deliveries added. Therefore, we’ll have to stay tuned for what this PS5 version will offer at its release.
Have you, just like us, eagerly anticipating the arrival of Euro Truck Simulator for quite some time now? Go ahead and express your excitement by sharing your thoughts in the comment box below!
