Though summer is known for bringing out some of the year’s biggest films, fans still have a lot to anticipate this autumn. Not only will beloved properties be unveiled, but long-awaited franchises will also make their comeback. Whether it’s horror, video games, or superheroes, ComicBook offers exclusive sneak peeks and updates on some of the most highly anticipated titles this fall.

The Conjuring: Last Rites (September 5th)

In the latest installment of the acclaimed Conjuring film series, based on real incidents, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson reprise their roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren, renowned paranormal investigators. Actors Farmiga, Wilson, Tomlinson, Hardy, Coulter, Calder, Cowan, Cassidy, Gadsdon, Brotherton, and Kook are part of the cast. Gen V – Season 2 (September 15th)

After summer break, classes have resumed at Godolkin University. As America grapples with Homelander’s strong rule, the university’s new enigmatic dean presents an educational plan designed to make students stronger than ever before. Cate and Sam are esteemed heroes, while Marie, Jordan, and Emma hesitantly re-enter college, carrying months of trauma and sorrow. Yet, with a potential war looming between Humans and Supers, both in and outside the campus, social events and lectures seem insignificant. The group discovers an old program at Godolkin that could have far-reaching consequences. Somehow, Marie appears to be connected to this secretive initiative.

The Strangers – Chapter 2 (September 26th)

The Strangers have made their return, this time even crueler and remorseless than before. Marvel Zombies (October 3rd)

The four-episode series is a spinoff from “Marvel’s What If…?” and delves into the chilling transformations of popular characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This intriguing production features Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/the Scarlet Witch, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Awkwafina as Katy, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/the Red Guardian, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, and Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart.

Good Fortune (October 17th)

In “Good Fortune,” an earnest yet bungling angel named Gabriel, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, interferes in the lives of two contrasting individuals: a hard-up freelancer (Aziz Ansari) and a prosperous businessman (Seth Rogen).

Mortal Kombat II (October 24th)

Originating from New Line Cinema, experience the exhilarating new chapter of the popular video game series, “Mortal Kombat II.” In this installment, the much-loved characters – with Johnny Cage added to the roster – engage in an unforgettable, no-rules, bloody battle for supremacy. Their objective: to overthrow the oppressive rule of Shao Kahn and save Earthrealm and its protectors from imminent destruction.

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Season 4 (November 20th)

Six years post-Camp Cretaceous events, survivors from “The Nublar Six” are attempting to adapt off the islands amidst a world overrun by dinosaurs and hostile humans.
