In more casual, everyday language, it could be rephrased as: Shonda Rhimes drew millions of dedicated fans with her political drama “Scandal,” but she believes such a show wouldn’t thrive in today’s cultural environment.
The renowned author and Shondaland’s CEO is responsible for creating some of television’s most memorable dramas such as Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away with Murder, and noteworthily, Scandal, which brought the character of Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope into the limelight.

Yet, she emphasized, “At the core, everyone yearns for a fascinating tale. It’s surprisingly straightforward. What you need is to narrate an exceptional story.
Since 2012, I’ve been a dedicated follower of a captivating series that spanned over seven seasons. The show revolves around the character of Olivia Pope, a ‘fixer’ who tirelessly works to safeguard her clients’ images, all while dealing with secrets hidden in her own life.
