Davina McCall’s brand new reality show Stranded on Honeymoon Island confirms air date

The highly anticipated reality series by Davina McCall, “Stranded on Honeymoon Island,” is making its way to the BBC, and here’s the scheduled date for its debut.

Starting on BBC iPlayer from Wednesday, 3rd September, the show unfolds, following 12 single individuals as they embark on a marriage experiment while being stranded on a tropical island. The series will debut with three episodes to start.

The program is being led by McCall, a host known for previous stints on dating shows such as Channel 4’s StreetMate, MTV’s Singled Out, and more recently, ITV’s My Mum, Your Dad.

McCall is the face of this program, having previously hosted popular dating shows like Channel 4’s StreetMate, MTV’s Singled Out, and most recently, ITV’s My Mum, Your Dad.

Initially, the twelve participants gather for a romantic speed-dating session in London. Following this event, they will pair off to create six couples. Once the nuptials take place, these newlyweds embark on an immediate honeymoon to a sun-kissed tropical isle.

On secluded shorelines, new love affairs are swiftly challenged as the partners experience their honeymoon and survive with minimal supplies, according to the summary.

In unison, they need to discuss and work together as there is no place to flee when times are hard. Could a retreat from contemporary living draw them nearer or drive them further apart? Will it foster affection or resentment?

They have to team up and talk things over because there’s no option to leave when life gets tough. Might escaping modern life bring them together or cause friction? Could it result in romance or animosity?

The island where they got stranded for their honeymoon was initially developed by Snowman Productions, the same group that brought you Married at First Sight. However, it’s the CPL Productions team, responsible for Married at First Sight UK, who are now producing it.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a new series is in the works, and back then, Murray Boland from CPL expressed his excitement about collaborating with Davina on this venture, stating, “We are ecstatic to be partnering with Davina for this endeavor.

On Honeymoon Island, an intriguing relationship test unfolds, and who better to guide us through this emotional voyage than Davina? As the couples explore their budding romance during their stay on the island, she will be our guide to witness the drama as it unfolds.

Kalpna Patel-Knight, who oversees entertainment at the BBC, remarked that Davina would be a perfect fit for the daring and cutting-edge dating reality series we are producing.

On Honeymoon Island, Davina serves as an excellent host, guiding viewers through the romantic journey of a couple’s lifetime. As the newlyweds face their ultimate test, she will be there to share their love story with us.

It’s wonderful that we get to collaborate with her, joined by the exceptional team at CPL. This partnership seems like it was destined for success!
