Tammy Slaton’s latest cosmetic procedure is going to silence her haters.
1000-Lb. Sisters star has unveiled her fresh set of teeth following a bridge installation. Although the procedure was exclusively for her, the creator of Fat Boy App confessed it was also an effective method to silence the criticisms.
On the August 19th episode of the Creative Chaos podcast, Tammy casually mentioned some people’s prior discussions about her smile, adding humorously, “Critics help boost my popularity,” implying that negative comments can contribute to fame.
Tammy, aged 39, has undergone dental treatment to fix a space in her front teeth and fill gaps left by missing teeth. However, her new smile is still being perfected.
She noted that the procedure is currently temporary. They needed to cement the replacements because the adhesive wasn’t working out. Her body was resisting the adhesive, leading to tooth extractions. Now, she has a bridge and there are still more treatments to come. It’s all part of an ongoing process.
As stated by Tammy, she has noticed a minor alteration in her voice following the installation of a dental bridge, which is an artificial tooth fixed between adjacent natural teeth to fill a gap in a person’s smile.
“I have a lisp now,” she shared. “It will go away eventually.”
She added, “The only way I can think my voice might have changed is cause I’m happier.”
Tammy’s radiant new smile emerged about two months following her skin removal surgery in June, which she had after shedding over 500 pounds. In the midst of her significant advancements, the TLC star has not hesitated to address criticisms concerning her appearance, even those who suggested: “Improve your teeth.
In a TikTok video posted in January 2024, I humbly express my hope that folks such as yourself might reconsider sharing comments of a critical nature like the one I recently encountered. Such remarks unfortunately hinder rather than support my self-confidence. My intention was to maintain a positive outlook, and unwelcome criticisms about aspects like my chin or teeth undermine this effort.
At the time, Tammy shared that working on her smile wasn’t an instant or cheap fix.
She went on saying, ‘I’m working towards improving both my life and myself. It’s important that we support each other. Even if I’m without some teeth.’
Tammy added, “It’s sad. Why hate?”

Since the year 2020, viewers of TLC have been following Tammy Slaton’s journey on “1000-lb. Sisters”. Post her bariatric surgery in mid-2022, spectators have been tracking her transformation not only on television but also on various social media platforms.
As of August 2024, she has lost 500 pounds.
The reality star shared a snap of herself in a floral print dress on Instagram in June 2023.
That same month, Tammy posted a group photo with her brother Chris Combs and YouTuber Chelcie Lynn.
In July 2023, Tammy deeply grieved the passing of her husband, Caleb Willingham. On Instagram, she expressed her sorrow by saying, “Rest in peace, dear angel, you will forever be missed and cherished so deeply,” accompanying her words with nostalgic photos. “Thank you, Caleb, for revealing to me the true essence of love and joy,” she added.

Following several delays which kept Tammy from getting skin removal surgery approval, she eventually received clearance to proceed with the operation.

About a month after Tammy unveiled her fresh appearance post-skin removal surgery, she posted a collection of recent selfies showing glimpses into her current life.
In the July 2025 update, she proudly displayed her latest physique in a fitted bodysuit while flashing a smile to the camera.
