Every Deadpool Variant Ranked From Coolest to Weirdest

Deadpool, a well-known character from Marvel Comics, often shares the limelight with numerous other comic book heroes. He also interacts with multiple incarnations of himself. Known for his unconventional role as an antihero who speaks directly to readers (breaking the fourth wall), Deadpool has traversed various realities through the multiverse, frequently engaging in battles against alternate versions of himself, particularly following the formation of the Deadpool Corps. This behavior is partly influenced by stories such as “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe,” where he even targeted his own variations. On Earth-616, Deadpool exhibits a level of wildness and unpredictability, but other versions display their own peculiarities, with some considering themselves as cool or unique.

Ranging from assassins and shoguns to females, teenagers, infants, and even dogs, discover the top Deadpool variants! These selections are arranged in order from the most intriguing to the quirkiest. Please note that this list does not encompass other individuals who temporarily took on the role of Deadpool, like his children.

The revised version aims to make the text more accessible and engaging while maintaining the original’s essence.

15) Classic Deadpool

In a nutshell, Deadpool, known as the “coolest” character (and he’d probably agree), is famously referred to as the Merc with a Mouth. His humor is so off-the-wall that it leaves even seasoned heroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine scratching their heads. Yet, despite his knack for causing chaos, Deadpool is also unrivaled in resilience among all versions of himself. In fact, he was the only one who managed to take on and subdue Dreadpool, his deadliest counterpart, during the original “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe” series.

14) Lady Deadpool

In simpler terms, Lady Deadpool is an alternate version of Wanda Wilson from the universe known as Earth-3010. She’s a female equivalent of Wade Wilson from her world and transforms into a hero by joining a rebel faction opposing loyalists in their war. In one adventure, both Lady Deadpool and Headpool collaborate to defeat General America. Following this, they work together in the Deadpool Corps. Reminiscent of Deadpool’s attitude, Lady Deadpool can be just as annoying, but she owns an impressive spaceship that Earth-616 Deadpool nicknamed “The Bea Arthur,” inspired by the famous actress who starred in ‘Golden Girls.’

13) Kidpool

In the universe of Earth-10330, our character goes by Kidpool – a youthful alteration of Wade Wilson, the infamous Merc with a Mouth. Unlike his peers at the Xavier Orphanage for Wayward Youth in this reality, he lacked superpowers, leading to feelings of loneliness and isolation. A pivotal moment arrived when he clashed with other students during the prom, earning him expulsion. Both Logan and Mistress Storm sided with the other students, further adding to his woes. However, he’s no slouch in combat, sporting high-tech weaponry, such as lightsaber-style swords pilfered from the Danger Room. This is the OG Kidpool, while a new female version of Kidpool exists within Marvel Comics today.

12) Venompool

In the alternate universe known as Earth-90211, Venompool is the Deadpool counterpart. Galactus in this world hired Deadpool for a special mission: to eliminate the Beyonder. However, instead of following through with the task, Deadpool encountered Ghium and the two started partying. One of these gatherings was interrupted by Spider-Man who requested Beyonder to remove a symbiote from his body. This was done, and subsequently, the symbiote merged with Deadpool forming Venompool. Desiring to be heroes but unable to resist their tendency towards violence, they struggled with this dual nature, much like the 616 version of Deadpool. Their constant killing sprees were a nuisance for both of them, causing Venom distress and eventually leading them to seek therapy to manage their issues.

11) Deadpool Pulp

In an alternate universe known as Earth-10310, the comics “Deadpool Noir” introduced us to Wade Wilson. This version of Wade lived during World War II, where he chose military service to satiate his desire for bloodshed against evil doers. However, he was later captured and endured a year of brutal torture in a Japanese POW camp. To break free, he resorted to an extraordinary act – biting off his own thumbs. After that, he brutally killed his tormentor, stole the man’s katanas and mask. These weapons and mask would become his signature tools when he later became a ruthless mercenary.

10) Dreadpool

In simpler terms, the character known as Dreadpool is a particularly brutal and villainous iteration of Deadpool. Hailing from Earth-12101, he was once sought out by the X-Men to be treated for his insanity by a doctor named Psycho-Man. However, instead of curing him, Psycho-Man’s brainwashing attempt ended up eliminating Deadpool’s inner voices. Without these voices, Deadpool came to understand that he existed within a comic book, leading him to make the decision to bring an end to everything. Dreadpool served as the main character in “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe,” during which he brutally eliminated numerous characters before launching attacks on other Earths and engaging in war with the Deadpool Corps.

9) Dead Man Wade

On the alternate reality of Earth-295, known as the Age of Apocalypse, Wade Wilson served as a twisted version of Deadpool. In this future timeline, instead of the typical anti-hero we know, he was a full-fledged villain. He was one of Apocalypse’s Pale Riders, joining forces with Danielle Moonstar, a former New Mutants member who took pleasure in tormenting him. Unlike even his fellow Pale Riders, Wilson was immorally ruthless, with no qualms about harming and killing innocent people during missions for Apocalypse. He met his end but was later resurrected and collaborated with Weapon Omega before turning into one of the villains aiding Dreadpool in battling the Deadpool Corps.

8) Ultimate Deadpool

In simpler terms, the Ultimate Deadpool we’re referring to is Wade Wilson from the Ultimates Universe, specifically Earth-1610. Unlike the regular Deadpool we know, this version fought in the Wakanda Wars in the early 90s and was severely injured. Instead of cancerous sores on his skin, Ultimate Deadpool’s face is bare, and he’s missing part of his skull. In contrast to our world’s Deadpool who is a hero, this version was a villain and was part of the Reavers, a group that attacked the X-Men in his universe. Later on, he joined the Evil Deadpool Corps, working alongside Dreadpool.

7) Death Mask

In the alternate reality of Earth-11638, I found myself transforming into a villainous character known as Death Mask, reminiscent of Doctor Doom. A generous hand from Reed Richards, who successfully excised a lethal brain tumor plaguing my mind, silenced the chaotic voices that once filled my head. With the tumor gone and a newly found brilliance at my disposal, I decided to channel my genius not towards good deeds, but into constructing a criminal empire.

I ended the life of Victor Von Doom, and donned his Doom armor as I assumed the mantle of Death Mask. Over time, I made a fateful pact with Mephisto, which inadvertently unleashed horrifying monsters upon my Earth.

6) The Deadpool Kid

In contrast to what some might assume, the character known as the Deadpool Kid isn’t identical to Kidpool. Instead, this moniker seems to be a nod to Billy the Kid, given to the chatty anti-hero, Deadpool. Hailing from Earth-1108, the Deadpool Kid is a notorious outlaw, wanted for crimes such as bank robbery, arson, software piracy, and causing chaos by stampeding pygmy goats through an orphanage. This Deadpool certainly offers a unique twist on the character, although given that he’s Wade Wilson, some of his exploits may be embellished tall tales. In his universe, he’s crossed paths with Sheriff Fury and bounty hunter Logan.

5) Watari

As a movie enthusiast, I’ve recently encountered an intriguing character from another universe – Earth-11542’s Watari. This Deadpool variant is quite enigmatic, with limited information available about him. During the “Deadpool Kills Deadpool” event, he aided both the 616 Deadpool and Pandapool.

Watari hails from a reality that seems to draw inspiration from feudal Japan, making him a samurai Deadpool. He goes by the nicknames “The Fool” and “Ronin Deadpool.” Apart from the Deadpool series, he’s also graced the pages of the “Five Ronin” comics. This mysterious figure adds a fresh twist to the Deadpool universe, leaving readers eager for more insights into his backstory.

4) Pandapool

Among all the Deadpool iterations I’ve come across, none is quite as extraordinary as Pandapool from Earth-51315. Far from being a typical human, Pandapool is actually a colossal panda. What sets him apart isn’t just his unique appearance, but also his incredible resilience. In the epic saga of Deadpool Kills Deadpool, he outlived most other variants, fighting alongside the Earth-616 Deadpool and the Deadpool Corps.

3) Babypool

Babypool is essentially a baby version of Deadpool from an alternate universe (Earth-71912). Unlike his adult counterpart, he’s not particularly menacing. Instead, he’s more known for being playful and friendly, often seen hanging out with other infant superheroes like Baby Spider-Man. In a unique twist, Babypool participated in a battle between teams led by the Avengers, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Inhumans, all vying for the affection of two young children named Zach and Zoe, residents of Marville.

2) Dogpool

In the “Deadpool” and “Wolverine” movie, Dogpool became a significant success. However, his origin dates back to Marvel Comics in 2010. Originally named Wilson, he underwent sinister experiments by Mascara X that left him disfigured but with an enhanced healing ability. Due to being shunned by everyone, he eventually landed in a circus where he was subjected to cruel acts due to his regenerative powers. Known for his unusual nature among the Deadpool Corps, Dogpool also demonstrated immense heroism, even sacrificing himself to save the primary 616 version of Deadpool.

1) Headpool

In my opinion, as a fervent fan of Deadpool, it’s not hard to imagine that his regenerative abilities would allow him to survive even the extreme scenario of decapitation. However, in an alternate reality known as Earth-Z, featured in Marvel Zombies, Deadpool ended up sticking with his head and was henceforth known as Headpool – the Merc with Half a Mouth. This unconventional hero embarked on numerous thrilling adventures, often facing off against formidable foes such as Hydra, AIM, Ka-Zar, Man-Thing, and even General America. Despite his unusual appearance, Headpool was an integral member of the Deadpool Corps. Tragically, he met his end, along with most of his comrades, in Deadpool Kills Deadpool.
