Tony Hawk’s son Riley Hawk is skating smoothly into parenthood.
Nine months following the birth of their son Ronin, skateboarding icon Riley and his spouse Frances Bean Cobain (daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain) shared insights on their transition into parenthood.
According to Tony’s exclusive interview with Francesca Amiker from TopMob News, he expressed that the situation is like a rollercoaster ride, but they are doing their best to handle it. He also added that he has complete faith in their skills.
Indeed, the professional skater is present to assist, for he expressed that while it might not require an entire village, it certainly necessitates a nurturing and supportive family.
Tony, who is a father to Spencer Hawk (age 26) and Keegan Hawk (age 23), from his former marriage with Erin Lee, and Kadence Hawk (age 16) from his relationship with Lhotse Merriam, and Cathy Goodman, his wife who also has children Miles and Calvin with her ex-husband Matthew Goodman, could potentially be the ideal assistance for Riley and Frances.
Tony added, ‘We’ve got everything needed,’ he said, proudly reflecting on his family life. ‘My spouse and I have successfully raised six children, all grown now. That gives us a strong sense of confidence in our parenting skills.’
Moreover, despite skateboarding being a significant part of his life throughout, Tony has carefully balanced his priorities as he’s grown the Hawk dynasty.
The individual, who is 56 years old, made it clear that family always comes first for him. Although his professional title is a ‘pro skater’ and this role is also the name of our video game, it represents his job, means of living, and long-standing passion since he was ten. Nevertheless, he emphasized that nothing is more important than his family.
He added, “Now I’m a grandfather, so I understand it from a deeper level.”
His family values proved incredibly useful when he collaborated with a well-known Tony – Tony the Tiger from Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes – on his latest video game that appeals to both teenagers and adults, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4.
The skateboarder shared that he was raised on Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and spent his childhood playing video games. When given the opportunity to create his own video game, he made an effort to elevate the popularity of skateboarding within it. Incorporating aspects related to Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes into the game has been a thrilling experience for him.
Starting July 11, players in this game have the opportunity to personalize their in-game items such as skateboards and outfits with a Tony the Tiger theme, making Tony’s collaboration with the cereal brand all the more thrilling!
He expressed astonishment, saying, “It’s almost surreal that I’m part of this collaboration.” To him, the prospect of creating any sort of merchandise feels like a long-cherished dream coming true.
