Maren Morris Says Fan “Grabbed My Ass” During Meet-and-Greet

Maren Morris is setting boundaries with her fans.

After wrapping up her “Dreamsicle” Tour concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the performer known for “My Church” claimed that a fan had inappropriately touched her during a private meet-and-greet session.

On Instagram Stories, Maren expressed that tonight’s event was a blast, but an uncomfortable incident happened during the pre-show meet and greet as someone inappropriately touched her. Despite this, she intends to carry on with these events since one individual should not spoil the enjoyment for everyone.

I’m there to interact, exchange ideas, and offer affection,” she added, “but remember to respect each person’s personal boundaries. Take care.

Approximately two years ago, a difficult event occurred in the life of a 35-year-old woman who had been married for five years to Ryan Hurd. They share a 5-year-old son named Hayes. After this marriage, they went through a divorce.

As a die-hard fan, let me tell you, going through that split was one tough ride for Maren. But little did we know, it was just the beginning of something extraordinary. Her heartache transformed into the powerful melodies and poignant lyrics that make up her latest album – an emotional masterpiece born out of her personal pain.

She shared with The Cut in May that instead of detailing the events within the relationship, she is focusing on chronicling the pain, frustration, sorrow, and the raw emotional state of recovering, as well as the process of rebuilding connections with other women and oneself.

It’s true that not every song she sings is about her divorce. In fact, she has admitted that a significant number of her tunes are actually influenced by her son as well.

She shared with People magazine in March that he undeniably inspired her song “Because of Course”, which was on her EP. In other words, even if the song isn’t specifically about him, all these songs were written after his influence, so whether I acknowledge it or not, he has left an impact on me now.

As a committed follower, I’ve been navigating my co-parenting journey with Ryan, the musician, while simultaneously embarking on a personal exploration of my sexuality since publicly identifying as bisexual last June. This voyage of self-discovery has led me to grapple with the intricacies that often blur the boundaries between friendships and romantic connections.

She mentioned during a May episode of the U Up? podcast that she sometimes gets confused because she can form a deep connection with women in just a couple of minutes. They’d discuss their childhood experiences, including past bullies at age 13, and delve deeply into these topics quickly. On the other hand, it would take years to reach such a level of emotional depth with a man regarding similar traumatic events.

She noted that it can be challenging for her to distinguish between romance and friendship due to women’s ability to form connections swiftly and effortlessly, which she finds remarkable. Essentially, this is what sets female relationships apart from those with men in the context of dating.

Regarding the incident, Todd A Spodek, a lawyer for Nicolas Malvagna, who was arrested and charged with assault, told TMZ that his client, as a fan, only intended to get a photo with Bebe Rexha’s phone and keep it as a souvenir. He claimed that injuring Bebe Rexha was never his intention.
