Emmanuel Haro Case: Mom Rebecca Haro Speaks Out from Jail After Arrest

Emmanuel Haro’s mother Rebecca Haro is maintaining her innocence. 

Following the arrest of Jake Haro, the child’s parents on suspicions of murder on August 22nd, Rebecca released a statement from prison, continuing to assert her conviction that her baby had been abducted.

41-year-old Rebecca expressed determination when speaking to a reporter from the Southern California News Group (as reported in the Press-Enterprise). She made it clear that she won’t abandon her hopes for her child, stating simply, “I won’t give up.

She later added, “I want to be out looking for my baby.”

The mysterious disappearance of Emmanuel, as reported by Rebecca, has captivated the nation ever since she announced on August 14th that her son was allegedly abducted from the parking lot of a Big 5 sports store in Yucaipa, California.

In simpler terms, Rebecca shared with KTLA 5 on August 15 that she was about to fetch a diaper when someone greeted her with “Hola.” However, due to being knocked unconscious, she recalled waking up disoriented and not seeing the person, Emmanuel, who was allegedly involved in the incident. She also mentioned waking up with a large black eye as a result.

After Rebecca’s first account, authorities subsequently detected possible discrepancies in her narrative, leading them to accuse both Rebecca and Jake of murder. The ongoing investigation seeks Emmanuel’s remains.

Following Rebecca’s initial statement, authorities later discovered what they suspected were contradictions in her tale, causing them to indict Rebecca and Jake for murder. The hunt for Emmanuel’s remains persists as the investigation proceeds.

In a recent Instagram post on August 23rd, the San Bernardino County Sheriff stated that, after examining the available evidence, they concluded that no kidnapping took place in Yucaipa. It’s suspected that Emmauel has unfortunately passed away, and efforts are currently underway to locate his remains.

The following day, the authorities were joined by Jake, 32, during a search for the baby’s body.

During the investigation, search dogs helped out, as noted by the county sheriff on Instagram. Jake Haro accompanied detectives at the scene.

Jake, who, like Rebecca, is a parent to another 2-year-old child, was found guilty of an intentionally harmful act towards a child back in June 2023, as per court documents obtained by USA Today. However, Rebecca has strongly denied any involvement of Jake in the disappearance of Emmanuel.

Rebecca shared with the Southern California News Group on August 24 that he is a loving father, always ensuring he would not cause harm to any infant.
