While Avengers: Doomsday could offer chances, it’s uncertain if Dafne Keen will reappear again.

During an interview with Screen Rant at FAN EXPO Canada, Keen expressed uncertainty about whether she is portraying X-23 in the film “Doomsday.” She stated, “To be honest, I truly don’t know… I swear to you that I really don’t know. At this moment, I have no idea whatsoever about it.” She added that she hasn’t received any updates on the matter yet.

Could Dafne Keen’s X-23 Return in Avengers: Doomsday?

It’s unclear if Keen finds herself in “Doomsday,” but there are hints that one of her “Deadpool & Wolverine” comrades may reappear. The latest news suggests Ryan Reynolds is reviving Deadpool for “Doomsday,” however, he won’t be joining the ranks of Earth’s top superheroes. This suggests that if Deadpool does appear in the movie, he’ll likely be working with a separate group to counteract Doctor Doom’s assault on the multiverse. Given his past relationship with Laura, Deadpool might attempt to enlist X-23 in this endeavor.

Although Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman haven’t been officially confirmed for the Avengers: Doomsday team yet, Kevin Feige, a key figure in the project, mentioned earlier this year that more casting announcements will be made later on. Since Doomsday currently includes several X-Men characters like Gambit portrayed by Ryan Reynolds from Deadpool and Wolverine, it’s possible that Reynolds and Jackman could join the cast as part of the next wave of additions. Therefore, she should only reappear if there’s a significant part for her in the narrative.

Regarding X-23, Keen currently doesn’t have any specific plans, but hopefully Marvel will find a suitable spot for her. If she isn’t included in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, then the upcoming ‘X-Men’ reboot could be an ideal place for Laura’s comeback. Instead of putting an actor under pressure to match Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Keen’s X-23 could step into the role of the clawed mutant in future films. Given her popularity among fans, it would be gratifying to see more of this character developed on the big screen.
