The plot revolves around Mitsuha, a small-town mayor’s daughter yearning for life in bustling Tokyo, and Taki, a high school student from Tokyo with dreams bigger than his part-time job. After discovering they can trade bodies during sleep, their lives become intertwined to an even greater extent when they arrange to meet each other in reality.
