It’s important to mention that using unconventional methods to eliminate him at Ponizovje won’t earn you the Mosin-Nagant. This includes both rushing to kill him early and waiting for his demise naturally. Moreover, causing lethal damage to him also won’t grant you the Mosin-Nagant as a reward.
To effectively handle him, opt for weapons that decrease his stamina such as the Mk22 tranquilizer gun and stun grenades. On the Very Easy difficulty, the EZ Gun is likely your top pick. Alternatively, you can use the Cig-Spray (cigarette-shaped narcosis gun), but only if you can stealthily approach The End. Once close enough, simply aim it at his face to incapacitate him in a similar manner as regular guards!
In case you haven’t noticed, the slimmer bar beneath The End’s Health meter is called Stamina. It would be best to prevent harming his Health and instead concentrate on managing only his Stamina.
Fighting The End
In this battle, staying calm is crucial. The victor will be relentless, armed with a sniper and aided by an observation bird. If you possess binoculars that see heat signatures (let’s call them ‘Heat-Vision Glasses’), you can attempt to use them to locate both the opponent and his bird partner. Capturing the bird will significantly impair his ability to detect your movements.
Regardless of your approach, it’s crucial that you remain inconspicuous while attempting to locate The End. Once found, aim to inflict maximum physical wear-and-tear on him. It would be best if you could focus on headshots with the Mk22 for optimal damage.
After you deplete The End’s Health Meter, you’ll witness the cutscene of his defeat. Typically, you can find the Mosin-Nagant weapon tucked away in a container near the location where The End expired. Gather it alongside your other game items and you’re done!
