Every year during Tokyo Game Show, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, the creators of “Like a Dragon,” traditionally hold a gathering known as the RGG Summit. According to Famitsu’s reports, this event is scheduled to take place at 8 PM PST on September 23rd (12 PM JST on the 24th), with an RGG Direct following suit afterward.
Previously, “Like a Dragon” has been the star of the RGG Summit. Last year saw the announcement of “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”. However, this year could see a shift, given that the studio is currently developing a new intellectual property titled “Stranger Than Heaven”, and a new installment of “Virtua Fighter” as well.
There’s still no confirmed release date or even a general timeframe for both games, but Sega has mentioned that “Stranger Than Heaven” is expected to launch between April 1st, 2026, and March 31st, 2027. Recently, a new trailer for the upcoming “Virtua Fighter” was released, displaying its combat mechanics and sleek interface.
In simpler terms, producer Riichiro Yamada shared his plans to maintain the user-friendly design of the game with its familiar three-button control scheme, making it accessible for everyone. For additional information and upcoming news, keep following along.
