Verdict on Armor
Recap
The film portrays a band of robbers attempting to seize an armed vehicle. Yet, the drivers of this truck are unwilling to exit without putting up a fight. Consequently, there’s a tense standoff on a bridge as the thieves try to force their entry and the guards wait for assistance.
Best Parts
The concept is intriguing, as it sets up a tense situation. Within this narrative, there’s a brief sideplot involving a father and son attempting to mend their bond, which is indeed the most captivating aspect of the story, even if it doesn’t delve too deeply into their emotions.
Worst Parts
The film strives to establish multiple connections, surprises, and plot shifts. Regrettably, none of these elements seem well-integrated, leaving us feeling directionless with little forward momentum. The acting performances are less impactful, and despite Stallone’s presence, the action is underwhelming in comparison to what one might expect from his reputation.
Final Thoughts –Armor is a by-the-book thriller without the intensity of the standoff.
