Following his debut, the second theatrical film to grace our screens will feature Supergirl. Post that, another project helmed by James Gunn is slated, focusing on the expansive Super-Family, expanding upon the characters and narratives introduced in Superman. Despite the DC Extended Universe not delivering a second solo Superman title, it seems the DC Universe has chosen to make this Kryptonian the focal point of its cinematic blueprint.

The upcoming movie, steeped in Superman’s lore and yet to reveal its title, holds an air of mystery. But it seems that it could offer a platform for some beloved Superman comic characters to shine on the silver screen. Just like a cat playing with its prey, it’s about time we had Superman face off against someone who revels in causing nothing but constant frustration for our heroes. Let the games begin!

3) Power Girl

As a cinephile deeply immersed in the DC Universe, I can’t help but ponder over the intriguing possibilities that the pocket universe of Lex Luthor in Superman and the utopian alternate dimension in Peacemaker Season 2 have subtly hinted at. This horse is loyal to Supergirl and has developed an intense affection for her, though he’s unable to express it due to being a horse. It would be thrilling to witness an unanticipated character like Comet appear in a big-budget movie. In this scenario, Comet’s emergence might echo that of Krypto, indicating that superpowers within the Super-Family are not exclusively human. Animals can also shape the world, after all.
