As a devoted cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the long-awaited second part of “Wednesday” season 2 has finally graced our screens! Picking up right where we left off, this continuation offers a rollercoaster ride of unforeseen yet exhilarating twists and turns. The cliffhanger ending has sparked heated discussions among fans, particularly regarding the mysterious fate of Principal Dort. With Season 2 Part 2’s conclusion just around the corner, everyone’s buzzing about whether our fire-wielding principal will emerge victorious or meet his demise. Throughout this season, Dort’s unique pyrokinetic powers have left a lasting impression on viewers, setting him apart from the academy’s previous principal, Larissa Weems, who possesses the uncanny ability to shapeshift, as portrayed by the talented Gwendoline Christie. The anticipation is palpable!
So does Principal Dort die in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2’s ending? Here’s your question answered.
Does Principal Dort die in Wednesday Season 2’s ending?
Yes, Principal Dort dies in Wednesday Season 2 Part 2’s ending.
In Episode 7, it’s unveiled that Principal Dort is actually the leader of the Morning Song cult, a group that has been troubling Bianca Barclay, the popular queen bee of Nevermore, and Xavier’s former girlfriend, ever since Season 1.
It is later disclosed that Dort enrolled at Nevermore Academy with a specific intention: to seize Grandmama Hester’s wealth and flee. Later on, he manipulates Bianca by using her mother, Gabrielle, as an enticement, hoping to persuade Bianca to employ her siren-like melodies to hypnotize Grandmama Hester into transferring her fortune to Nevermore. However, Wednesday and Agnes uncover Dort’s plot and ally with Bianca to thwart him.
The truth about Dort’s wrongdoings comes to light when Wednesday secretly steals his protective necklace for sirens, and Bianca compels him to admit all his misdeeds towards Nevermore Academy students, such as murdering the leader of Morning Song, a position he himself had appointed. Later, in an attempt to silence Bianca, Dort kidnaps her, but in the process, accidentally ignites a chandelier. Ajax intervenes heroically, using his Gorgon powers to petrify Dort. Unfortunately for Dort, the falling chandelier then crushes him, leading to his untimely demise.
As a film enthusiast, I’d rephrase it like this: On Wednesday, our creative team had us craft a scene where Dort actually ignited the chandelier himself, not with the intention of harming him, but as a self-inflicted act.
All episodes of Wednesday Season 2 are currently streaming on Netflix.
