Meet the Golden Bachelor Season 2 Cast

These new golden girls are ready to meet their man.

In exactly three weeks, the second season of “The Golden Bachelor” will premiere on ABC. To build anticipation, they are presenting fans with a sneak peek at the yet-to-be-named women who will vie for the affection of retired NFL player and lawyer, Mel Owens, who is 66 years old.

One of them is Cindy, a 60-year-old mom of three from Austin, Texas, who used to date Chuck Norris as per ABC reports. She was previously a retired biomedical engineer.

As a devoted follower, I’d like to introduce you to Roxanne, a fellow Texan, who is a dedicated longevity nurse focusing on anti-aging and aiding women over the age of 50 in maintaining their physical well-being. Additionally, Terri, a vibrant cosmetic dentist, hails from the same region as I do, but slightly older at 71 years old. From Birmingham, Alabama, we have Monica P., another talented dentist, now aged 60.

Among the competitors are Monica B., a flight attendant residing in Huntsville, Alabama, aged 62; Peg, a 62-year-old former firefighter and bomb technician hailing from Las Vegas; and Andra, a 77-year-old retired federal employee dwelling in Los Angeles. Each contender brings unique experiences to the table.

Mel’s potential partners are all aged between 60 and 77 years old. However, in June, he stirred up controversy when he disclosed that he had expressed a preference for contestants ranging from 46 to 60 years old. He further mentioned that if someone was 60 or older, he would eliminate them.

The following month, the former Los Angeles Rams linebacker apologized.

In a recent interview with Glamour on August 1st, he shared that his frame of reference for dating was around 39 or 40 years old. It had been 26 or 27 years since he last went on a date. At that point, he hadn’t dated yet, so his understanding of what it meant to date was primarily based on his own age.

Mel, who has two grown sons with his former spouse Fabiana Pimentel, likewise acknowledged engaging in conversations with the ladies on The Golden Bachelor.

He shared that he had apologized to the women on the show. Upon entering, he immediately acknowledged his mistake and expressed remorse, saying, “What I did was unfair and insensitive. I want to make amends. Please afford me the opportunity. In the last two to three weeks, I believe I’ve started to regain some of that lost trust.
