Developer Sports Interactive is now ready to unveil the refined visual engine that will drive the upcoming game, Football Manager 26. In a newly released video, they provide a sneak peek into what an average match in this strategic sports simulation might resemble. Here’s the trailer for your viewing pleasure.
The upcoming Football Manager 26 trailer doesn’t quite reach the visual quality found in the EA Sports FC series, but it certainly showcases significant improvements compared to previous releases in the Football Manager series. Now, players are fully modeled and animated, providing a more immersive gaming experience. This enhancement enables players to devise new tactics and strategies more effortlessly during matches, as it offers clear insights into the strengths and weaknesses of players on both teams.
To attain such high graphic quality, Sports Interactive decided to transition the “Football Manager” series to the Unity Engine. This shift in engines was a significant factor for the studio’s decision to forego releasing last year’s edition – “Football Manager 25” – and instead focus more on developing the upcoming title.
Upon unveiling the latest trailer, the studio has shared additional information through updates on the Football Manager 26 Steam page. This update also discloses the necessary PC specifications for running the game effectively.
In the very least, to play Football Manager 26, a computer must have one of these processors: Intel Core i3-530 or AMD FX-4100 (for desktops), or Intel Core i3-330M or AMD A6-5200 (for laptops). Additionally, for desktops, a minimum of 4 GB RAM and either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 or AMD Radeon R9 380 GPU is required. For laptops, the necessary components are 4 GB RAM and either an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M or AMD Radeon R9 M375 GPU. Systems without discrete GPUs can run the game on both desktops and laptops with an Intel HD530-equipped CPU that comes with at least 512 MB of VRAM.
To maximize the visual quality of the game, Sports Interactive suggests the following system requirements:
For desktop computers, they recommend an Intel Core i5-9600 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, 12 GB of RAM, and either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT GPU.
For laptop users, the studio recommends either an Intel Core i5-1035G7 or AMD Ryzen 7 3750H CPU, and either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Mobile or AMD Radeon RX 6600M GPU.
The announcement for Football Manager 26 took place in August, but it didn’t provide any gameplay footage. However, a 30-second teaser hinted at what might be expected, as it featured a soccer ball being placed on a podium just before the start of a Premier League match.
The developers excitingly announced that FM26 will lead players on an unforgettable football adventure, offering an incredibly detailed and visually stunning version of Football Manager, promising to bring players even closer to the essence of the beloved sport.
The upcoming football management game, titled “Football Manager 26”, will be available on PC platforms such as Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Windows Store. Unfortunately, no official launch date has been set as of now.
