On Monday, September 8th, 2025, the character John Sugden, portrayed by Oliver Farnworth, and his on-screen spouse Aaron Dingle, played by Danny Miller, experienced a heart-stopping plunge from a cliff in a nerve-wracking episode of Emmerdale.

In a tense moment, Aaron reminisced about the mysterious hole he discovered in the forest, and challenged John for his behavior, wanting answers about whatever transpired involving Mack.
However, upon Robert’s arrival, John grew increasingly unstable, with Aaron maintaining his composure and attempting to control the situation.

Upon Robert’s entry, John’s instability escalated further, while Aaron remained collected and worked to handle the situation.
Despite every attempt, things turned sour when John attempted to falsely accuse Robert by calling the police. Before long, John seized Aaron and together they plunged over the cliff, causing Robert great distress as he shouted for Aaron in panic.
