We R Who We R and that’s especially true for Megan Stalter.
At the 2025 MTV VMAs on September 7th, the main actor from Hacks made people laugh while dressed up like a coffee filter on stage. However, despite their repeated attempts, at least one social media user failed to accurately recognize her.
In a more casual and friendly tone, the user might have written on X (previously known as Twitter): “Here’s a snap of Megan and Ariana Grande posing together at the event. Looks like someone got Ariana Grande’s photo mixed up with Ava Max in the caption!
Later on, the user posted images showing a pair hugging, accompanied by the comment, “Ariana Grande and Kesha (or someone) at the #VMAs.
Eventually, the spectator admitted defeat, penning “I’m unable to identify who it is since it doesn’t seem to be Ava Max after all.
Megan, recognized for her striking fashion on the red carpet, such as her Diet Coke ensemble at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards, posted screenshots of these posts to her Instagram. This action led to a humorous reaction from the actress starring in Wicked.
In her comment on the post, Ari said something like ‘Kesha-ish,’ and in another comment she told Megan, ‘I lovingly adore you.’
In addition, other voices joined the conversation. Comedian Amy Schumer posted “Hilar,” while actor Archie Madekwe from Saltburn added four laugh-crying emojis.
Apart from enjoying a lighthearted moment with actress Kate del Castillo, Ariana found herself quite occupied during the VMAs. Accompanying her were her mother Joan Grande, brother Frankie Grande and his spouse Hale Grande, as well as her father Edward Butera. During the ceremony, she acknowledged her dad in her speech after her video “Brighter Days Ahead” clinched the Moon Person for Best Pop. Additionally, Ariana received an award for Video of the Year herself.
She expressed her gratitude towards her father, who made his acting debut in the video for the very first time. She considers him an outstanding scene partner and an exceptional dad.
In addition to thanking her fans and team, she concluded her speech with a now-viral moment.
“Thank you to my therapists,” Ariana continued, “and gay people. I love you. Thank you.”

As a dedicated follower, I too enjoyed sharing a laughable moment with the witty actress from Too Much. Ariana had quite an eventful evening at the VMAs, where she graced the ceremony alongside her mom Joan Grande, brother Frankie Grande and his spouse Hale Grande, as well as her father Edward Butera. In her heartfelt acceptance speech after winning the Moon Person for Best Pop (not to mention Video of the Year), Ariana made sure to express her gratitude towards her dad.
She expressed gratitude, stating, “My father made his acting debut in this video for the very first time, and he was simply fantastic! He’s not only the best actor I could ever ask for, but also the greatest dad in the world.
In addition to thanking her fans and team, she concluded her speech with a now-viral moment.
“Thank you to my therapists,” Ariana continued, “and gay people. I love you. Thank you.”
