We’re a little confused.
It seems that we had the impression that the game titled “Mina the Hollower,” developed by Shovel Knight creators Yacht Club Games and reminiscent of Game Boy Color style, has been announced for the PlayStation 5 for a long time now.
It seems otherwise, as today’s news indicates a different scenario. Regrettably, there isn’t a PS4 version available any longer.

To put it another way, this appears fantastic, and the recent trailer showcases this quite effectively. It’s evident that while it draws inspiration from the Game Boy Color, it’s accomplishing feats that Nintendo’s handheld could only aspire to – take a peek at the scene involving the colossal cylinder. Goodness me!
The upcoming press release hints at an engrossing story that combines elements of chilling terror reminiscent of Victorian Gothic horror and heartfelt warmth. Fittingly, it is scheduled to be unveiled on Halloween, October 31st.
Here’s the full summary:
Journey into the thrilling realm of action-adventure with Mina the Hollower! Assume command of Mina, an esteemed Hollower embarking on a perilous quest to free a cursed island. Dive below dangers and enemies, lash out at foes, and arm yourself with an assortment of sidearms and trinkets. Navigate through a sprawling world showcasing pixel-precise graphics, engaging gameplay, formidable bosses, and catchy tunes. Cross paths with eccentric characters, seek hidden treasures in various exotic settings, and dispel the ever-present gloom in Mina the Hollower, an exciting new game from the creators behind Shovel Knight!
Given the multitude of games launching this year, it’s proving challenging to add yet another one to our list. However, with its captivating appearance, it seems hard not to be drawn in, isn’t it?
