Tyler Baltierra is firing back at his critics.
Following a two-week interval since the “Teen Mom” celebrity announced his autism diagnosis, he and his spouse, Catelynn Lowell, addressed accusations that insinuated he might be feigning his diagnosed condition.
Tyler expressed confusion during their September 10th podcast episode of “Cate & Ty Break It Down”. He stated that society seems to be losing its empathy or becoming more calloused, and he can’t understand the change he’s seeing. The remarks people made were incredibly insensitive.
Expressing his disappointment at being instantly questioned due to comments suggesting he wasn’t genuinely autistic, but rather considered a jerk or narcissist, he found the situation quite discouraging.
Tyler inquired of his audience: “What’s the drill here? Am I supposed to present my entire report for your scrutiny?”
Tyler then went on to express concern about our society: “Isn’t it more appropriate nowadays, rather than asking ‘Wow, could you elaborate on that?’ or ‘Can you describe that for me?’, to challenge people’s diagnoses and accuse them of lying about their conditions? Why is this happening?
Tyler Baltierra is firing back at his critics.
Two weeks following the revelation by the “Teen Mom” celebrity about his autism diagnosis, he and his spouse, Catelynn Lowell, responded to allegations suggesting that he might be feigning his condition.
Tyler expressed his confusion on the September 10th episode of his and Catelynn’s “Cate & Ty Break It Down” podcast, stating, “Either society is losing its compassion or becoming calloused. I can’t figure it out. The comments were truly shocking.
Revising the statement to be more natural and easy to understand: He shared his frustration at being instantly questioned about his authentic autism diagnosis, with people suggesting he was merely difficult or narcissistic, rather than genuinely having autism.
In my expert opinion, Could you elaborate further?’ or ‘Can you give me an example of that?’, some people are questioning the validity of others’ experiences. It’s concerning to suggest that they’re fabricating their struggles or lying about their situation. What on earth is happening here?
“It’s ableism,” he continued. “It really is.”
Catelyn, too, minced no words about the negative commentators.
When someone reveals they have been diagnosed with autism and you criticize them for it, you demonstrate a lack of empathy and compassion, making you seem uncaring and unwell.
They also see the larger impact the comments have.
Tyler observed, “It’s not just directed towards me, but rather to anyone reading these comments who may have autism or similar conditions.
I couldn’t help but echo her sentiments, “And then you ponder why others hesitate to discuss it, or perhaps they tremble with anxiety or fear to seek a diagnosis.
Despite facing a wave of negativity following his health update on the August 27th edition of their podcast, Tyler and Catelynn’s show also highlighted the heartening outpouring of support they received from their audience.
Tyler clarified, “I’ve received personal messages from individuals expressing gratitude because I’ve been open about my diagnosis and discussing it openly. They appreciate how I spark conversations about autism.
Look back at Teen Mom couples, past and present.
As a lifestyle expert, I’ve had the privilege of following the journey of Catelynn Lowell and her partner Tyler Baltierra. In 2009, they bravely chose to place their first-born daughter, sweet Carly, for adoption, which was a pivotal moment during the debut season of 16 and Pregnant. Fast forward 13 years, this beloved duo tied the knot in August 2015 and have since welcomed three more lovely daughters into their lives: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.
Despite the lingering pain of Carly’s absence, who resides with her adopted parents Brandon and Teresa Davis, the couple persistently strive for a brighter tomorrow.
As I shared with TopMob News in January 2025, my bond with them, my biological siblings, hinges on their desires. If they wish to foster a relationship with me or merely maintain a connection, that’s wonderful. If not, I fully comprehend their decision. Their comfort and needs should take center stage, as it ought to be an adoptee-focused bond.
In the first half of a year, Maci Bookout faced challenges with an inconsistent Ryan Edwards on the show “16 and Pregnant“. Despite becoming engaged, this high school couple parted ways only ten months after their son Bentley was born in 2008.
Currently, they are working towards establishing a shared parenting bond. In an interview with TopMob News in 2023, Maci disclosed that Ryan’s presence has become more regular, potentially more so than it ever was previously.
In the year 2012, Maci met her long-term partner, Taylor McKinney from Texas. Together, they started developing their team, and in May 2015, they became parents to daughter Jayde. The following year, they welcomed their son Maverick into their family. In October of the same year, they tied the knot in Florida.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2023, she described her partner as her essential ally in parenting, life, and their TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. She candidly admitted, “He’s simply my ideal match.” When they’ve faced challenging times together, she asserted, “I find myself still standing by him at the end of the day. I appreciate him, and despite moments when I feel like giving him a stern rebuke, I’d prefer to have disagreements or tough stretches with him than to navigate through such periods without anyone else.
Regardless of having new partners, the MTV celebrities who first met during the production of The Challenge are still jointly raising their daughter named Ryder.
Cheyenne clarified to TopMob News in March 2020 that the key aspect since day one of Cory being in Ryder’s life has been his dedication to being a committed and responsible father, not just a fun dad for brief moments or one who only appears on social media. She made sure he was all-in, and it seems this mindset resonated with him, which is why they manage co-parenting so effectively.
Following the conclusion of their romance in 2018, the duo chose to rekindle their relationship. During her 28th birthday festivities, Cheyenne announced on Instagram that she was once again with Zach. In May 2021, they were blessed with their first child, a son named Ace, and got married in September 2022.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne shared that the previous two years were spent achieving goals on their list. Specifically, they managed to accomplish three significant milestones: welcoming a baby (Ace) into their family, exchanging marriage vows, and purchasing a house.
She went on to express, “I have no desire for action or setting new goals. Instead, I long for tranquility. My aim is simply to find peace and contentment right here, right now. I wish for us to appreciate one another. That’s all I need.
Well, perhaps she’s having another child… Cheyenne made this announcement during an episode of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’, which aired in May 2025.
As I confided in Us Weekly, my desire for a baby and my partner’s fluctuated. Initially, I yearned for a little one, but her feelings were uncertain, and our pages seemed to be from different books. However, as time unfolded, we found ourselves on the same chapter, and with determination, we endeavored to make it work together.
In a setting that doesn’t initially seem like the foundation for a romantic tale, namely while appearing on ‘Ex on the Beach’, Cory and reality TV star Taylor Selfridge have developed a relationship that has lasted for several years and produced two daughters, Mila and Maya. To this day, they continue to make an impact.
He revealed in 2023 to TopMob News that he recently purchased a house, and also mentioned that questions about their upcoming wedding are on everyone’s mind. He said, “We’ve been discussing it, but we haven’t found the perfect ring yet, and I plan to propose soon when I make that special gesture. Taylor deserves this step in our relationship, and it’s something we both want. For now, we’re focusing on getting ready for it.
As a committed spouse, I stepped into rehab not too long after tying the knot with Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017. Remarkably, even amid my treatment, she stood by me and gave birth to our first son, Jagger, in 2018.
In a dedicated pursuit of self-improvement, I made the decision to enter rehab shortly after marrying Mackenzie Standifer in May 2017. During my treatment process, she remained steadfast and welcomed our first son, Jagger, into the world in 2018.
Despite welcoming their daughter Stella in January 2020, Mackenzie filed for divorce three years afterward.
Ryan is currently betrothed to Amanda Conner, and together they welcomed their first-born child, a daughter named Presley, in February 2025.
Despite ending their highly controversial relationship definitively in 2013, the pair successfully shared custody of their daughter Leah, who is now a teenager, over many years.
Amber shared with TopMob News in January 2022, “We enjoy each other’s company from afar, yet our bond remains strong. In essence, we view our connection as a family more than anything else.
It’s true that families can have disagreements at times. Lately, Amber has expressed numerous issues about Gary on social media, indicating they may not be the closest of exes. Moreover, Amber’s strained relationship with Leah has become more evident through Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
Following quite some time spent as a couple, an engagement and a brief attempt on the reality show “Marriage Boot Camp”, Amber and Matt Baier (who moved to Boston) decided to end their engagement in the year 2017.
In simpler terms, Amber shared during Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast that at some point in their relationship, both she and her partner had grown tired of the issues, leading to a lack of concern. She admitted that this apathy towards the relationship became evident, as she built a protective barrier to avoid future emotional pain.
On the set of “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber developed a romantic connection with crew member Andrew Glennon. They first appeared as a couple at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in May 2018, they welcomed their son, James, into their family.
however, the pair went their separate ways not too much time after Amber’s arrest on charges of domestic battery in July 2019. Following a challenging court case, it was determined in 2022 that California native Andrew would have sole legal and primary physical custody of their child.
The “Teen Mom” celebrity shared with TopMob News that they have put in considerable effort into self-improvement and strengthening their bonds with their children. They emphasized that while they have been open about their past battles with substance abuse and mental health issues, everyone deserves a chance to move forward and not be constantly defined by their past challenges.
With unwavering resolve, she encouraged, “Even if your path hasn’t been smooth, but you’ve striven to evolve into a stronger, more compassionate individual today, let’s keep pushing ahead together. Rest assured, I won’t back down and will continue relentlessly for my cherished children.
Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on “Teen Mom OG” in April 2020. As she explained on the program, “Dimitri is Belgian and he’s 39 years old, making him ten years my senior. However, he’s quite an attractive gentleman.” Amber continued to share her feelings, mentioning that they started opening up to each other and eventually decided it was worth meeting since they both liked one another.
In April 2021, Amber openly disclosed on the special reunion episode of “Teen Mom OG” that she was still in a relationship with Dimitri. She stated, “We’ve known each other for about 18 months, but I haven’t seen him for a year.” Despite not making an official breakup announcement, Amber later introduced a new romantic interest named Gary Wayt during a June 2024 episode of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter”.
In the autumn of 2023, Amber matched with Gary 2.0 on a dating app. When she presented him to her fellow Teen Mom cast members during a video call, he became prominent in the conversation.
Despite his proposal in May 2024, their engagement didn’t last long. In June of the same year, during a trip to North Carolina for his sister’s wedding, Gary left abruptly following an argument with Amber, which resulted in her reporting him as missing.
And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.
Amber shared on ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’ that she spent three to four days believing her fiancé was deceased,” she said. “I had to cope with mourning and attempting to understand why such a thing could happen to me. I’m currently going through a difficult time.
She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Previously, I had always been steady. However, for the first time in many years, due to a man giving me a ring, I’m not functioning as usual.
A few months after Gary and his future wife, Kristina Anderson, had their daughter Emilee in April 2015, they got married at a charming beach wedding ceremony.
In a 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed that you possess one of the kindest and radiant spirits he has encountered. He went on to say that he can’t imagine navigating life without your presence by his side.
Two months before the birth of Farrah Abraham’s daughter Sophia in December 2008, Sophia’s father tragically passed away in an accident.
In her first significant post-high-school-boyfriend romance, Farrah intermittently dated realtor Simon Saran for more than two years.
Despite the acrimonious breakup they experienced in 2017, they made an effort, albeit somewhat strained, to maintain a friendship.
In an interview with TopMob News, Simon stated that he holds no ill will towards Farrah. He explained that they come from distinct backgrounds – she enjoys the artificial aspects of life, while he seeks authenticity. Despite their differences, Simon expresses his hopes for her continued success and well-being in all her future ventures.
Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, who are Jace’s parents, separated soon after his birth in 2009. Since then, Jenelle has had minimal interaction with her son.
Jenelle thought about the situation on an episode of Teen Mom 2 in 2019. She felt sad because Jace’s dad was involved, but she knew his character, and she didn’t want him to let down her son. She didn’t want him to re-enter their lives only to leave again.
In 2014, Jenelle gave birth to her second child, Kaiser, with her former fiancé Nathan Griffin. A year prior, she had married Courtland Rogers. Fast forward to September 2017, Jenelle tied the knot again, this time with David Eason, on their property in North Carolina. Their daughter Ensley was born eight months before the wedding.
After marrying Courtland Rogers in 2013 and having her second child, Kaiser, with ex-fiancé Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle welcomed their daughter Ensley in January 2017. Eight months later, she got married to David Eason on their North Carolina property.
Following a difficult period, David was accused of a minor child abuse offense concerning Jace. At that time, Jenelle described it as a malicious smear campaign. Later on, she disclosed that they had decided to part ways.
She clarified on social media that instead of immediately seeking a divorce, she had to go through the legal separation process in North Carolina first. This requires being apart for a full year and demonstrating that each party resides at different addresses.
Their divorce was finalized in July 2025.
Recall the charming individual who once asked his girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about the timeline for him to “finalize the documents regarding that error”?
Completely in the rearview.
Despite the initial challenges, the former Teen Mom star who now hosts shows on HGTV appears to maintain a relatively peaceful bond with her high school sweetheart Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “There’s no negative energy and it’s an extremely open relationship.” She added, “We don’t have any hard feelings towards each other. We run into him occasionally and everything is smooth.
In 2014, a chance encounter at a gas station marked the start of something significant between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. They officially became each other’s forever partners when they got married in October 2016. Subsequently, their family expanded with the birth of their son Watson in 2017, followed by daughters Layne in 2018 and Walker in 2021. In a new venture, they started a collaborative project titled Down Home Fab, which airs on HGTV.
In a conversation with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her desire for their return to television. She wanted it to be a refreshing, joyful, and genuine experience where they could truly show who they are. According to her, this choice felt incredibly fitting, as she described it as an exciting chance to achieve that goal.
Regarding further expansions, Chelsea stated to TopMob in June 2025: “I have many friends who say, ‘We are finished,’ and they seem certain. However, I can’t say I’ll ever feel the same.
Initially, Leah Messer and Corey Simms aspired to transform their friendship into a lifelong bond, but only six months after their October 2010 wedding, the parents of now-teenage twins Aleeah and Aliannah chose to divorce.
Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.
In the year 2012, Leah tied the knot with Jeremy Calvert. The following year, they were blessed with a daughter named Adalynn.
Despite parting ways in 2015, they’ve put in significant efforts towards joint parenting their daughter, although the outcomes have at times been somewhat challenging.
As I gaze upon the evolved, improved version of myself, I proudly proclaim to TopMob News about my daughters. Witnessing all the things they cherish and delight in, and having the opportunity to back them up throughout their lives, feels enchanting. It’s a joy that fills me with love. Truly, being a mom, particularly a mother of girls, is an extraordinary experience I wholeheartedly cherish.
By the year 2021, Jaylan Mobley had already won over Leah and her children when he made their Instagram relationship official within the U.S. Army.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.
A year ago, the ‘Teen Mom’ celebrity admitted to TopMob News that the breakup was necessary for her. She’s discovered many lessons from her past relationship and feels excited as she enters a new phase in her life, believing it’s just the start of something wonderful.
Kailyn Lowry had only turned 17 when she and her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera became parents to their oldest child, Isaac, in the year 2010.
Despite parting ways a year later, they’ve since established a harmonious co-parenting relationship. Kailyn hosted her now-defunct podcast, ‘Baby Mamas No Drama,’ alongside Jo’s wife Vee Torres, for several years. In a post on X after attending Jo and Vee’s 2018 wedding, Kailyn expressed, “We’ve traveled quite a distance since we were 18. I couldn’t wish for a better stepmother for Isaac.
In November 2013, approximately one year after Kailyn, a prominent figure on Teen Mom 2, got married to her son Lincoln’s father Javi Marroquin, the little boy joined the team.
In late 2016, the ex-spouses have experienced a bumpy ride in their relationship as they both navigated their separate paths.
In April 2025, after Kail moved on to Elijah Scott, Javi tied the knot with Lauren Comeau in a small ceremony held at Vero Beach, Florida. As Lauren shared on her Instagram Stories, their sons Eli and daughter Maizee were present, along with just their father, the pastor, and no one else. They are planning a bigger reception later that summer with family and friends. Lauren wrote that everyone was fully supportive and Javi’s mom had already experienced his firsts, so there were no issues. The couple wanted the ceremony to be a special occasion for their sons and an intimate family event, with Lauren’s father walking her down the aisle.
Several months following their beach wedding celebration in June 2025, the couple revealed they were expecting their third child as a wonderful memento from their honeymoon. On Instagram in August 2025, Javi expressed his feelings by saying, “The best keepsake from our honeymoon! I am so thankful to be experiencing this joy again with you, momma! You are the strongest woman I’ve ever known, and we are incredibly fortunate.
During their rollercoaster relationship, Kailyn gave birth to sons Lux and Creed with her partner Chris Lopez. However, after multiple ups and downs, they decided to end things permanently.
In 2020, she shared with TopMob News that currently, there is no communication between us. She expressed her hope that the situation might improve over time, but she doesn’t have any grand plans. She emphasized that she has nothing negative to say and wishes for the best, hoping that everything will resolve itself in a way that benefits our children, regardless of its direction.
Ever since I found my rock in Elijah, the construction worker, I’ve felt like I’ve constructed a solid foundation that’s been missing from my past relationships. In his rugged work boots, he’s more than just a hard-working man; he’s a family man at heart. He pours concrete for a living and gets down and dirty on the job site, yet there’s an undeniable warmth about him that binds us together.
When I spoke to People magazine about Elijah, who’s dad to my son Rio and twins Verse and Valley, I couldn’t help but gush about how different he is from my other partners. He’s deeply connected with his own family and ours, making him an exceptional partner for me. It feels like a perfect fit, and I couldn’t be more grateful for our strong bond.
A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.
In an interview with TopMob News last September, I enthusiastically confirmed that my beloved neighbor-cum-life partner had popped the question multiple times, but I didn’t refuse him outright. Instead, I found myself exclaiming a jubilant ‘yes’, albeit with a request for some delay, as I wasn’t quite ready to embark on our next adventure just yet.
Ultimately, though, the timing wasn’t right, Kailyn revealing in July 2025 that they had split.
On the Give them Lala podcast, she explained that she faces a lot of criticism for leaving her children’s fathers. She stated that she departed from each of them as she stands firm against taking any unnecessary trouble or bother.
Despite facing numerous highs and lows since the birth of their daughter Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted to their followers in January 2022 that things were looking up for them.
She shared with TopMob News that there were significant events that impacted our lives positively, and Sean experienced substantial advancements too, which has a promising outlook. I’m incredibly proud of him and our current journey. Eight months down the line, they happily announced their engagement, exchanging vows in October 2023.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Jade admitted that her relationship isn’t always flawless. However, she emphasized their deep-seated affection for one another, stating that they manage to make things function despite the challenges.
Ashley Jones and Bar Smith, both residents of California, secretly got married in the year 2021, which was four years following the birth of their daughter Holly.
But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.
After a number of years had passed since reality TV star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II became parents to their daughter Nova in 2011, there were indications that they might rekindle their relationship.
In more recent times, Briana shared with TopMob News in 2024 that she now desires a mature partner, as opposed to the younger men she had been accustomed to dating in the past.
These days, according to TopMob News’ report from 2024, Briana expressed a preference for a grown man rather than continuing to date the young men she had been accustomed to.
Following her appearance on the one-season show of “Teen Mom 3”, Briana became a part of “Teen Mom 2” in its eighth season. In July 2017, she welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with her former boyfriend, Luis Miguel.
Since then, Luis’ presence has been inconsistent at most. In a December 2019 episode of Teen Mom 2, Briana shared with Dr. Drew that she believes Luis desires a family with her, but since she isn’t offering that, he prefers to distance himself entirely.
