Kevin Federline Reacts to Sam Asghari’s “Professional Father” Dig

Kevin Federline doesn’t think about Britney Spear’s ex Sam Asghari at all. 

After Sam, who was married to Britney from 2022 until their divorce was officially completed in 2024, called Kevin a “professional father,” the former dancer made it clear that he takes such remarks in stride and is not overly worried about them.

In a recent interview with TMZ, published on September 11th, Kevin stated that he’s not overly concerned with Sam’s opinion. However, he does appreciate the phrase “Professional Father” as a title.

He’s a dad of six children: Kori (age 21), Kaleb (age 19) from his previous relationship with Shar Jackson, Sean Federline and Jayden Federline (both aged 19) who he shares with Britney Spears, and Jordan (age 12) and Peyton (age 9) with his current wife, Victoria Prince.

The individual who was married to Britney from 2005 to 2007, at the age of 47, also commented, “Every father ought to aim to become an exemplary father.

Shortly following the announcement that Kevin’s memoir titled “You Thought You Knew” would be published on October 21, Sam made some early comments. The press release hinted that the book would offer a deeply personal and open insight into Kevin’s life.

He went on to say that he realized his most cherished aspirations, weathered profound sorrow, and braved persistent mockery. Simultaneously, he became the supportive father his kids required during their continuous emotional upheavals.

But as Sam explained, he wasn’t expecting much from the book. 

In a lighthearted manner, he said to TMZ in August that he considered himself a ‘career dad,’ implying this could be the first book offering guidance on becoming a skilled and dedicated father.

Meanwhile, the former alumni of Traitors, who started dating Britney Spears in 2016, doesn’t hesitate to take digs at Kevin, but treads cautiously when discussing his past relationship with Britney. This caution is evident even after Britney mentioned in an August Instagram post that it felt “odd” being married to Sam during a period when she was separated from her children, as their marriage occurred during such challenging times.

“It almost felt like a fake distraction,” the 43-year-old added, “to help me deal with it.”

For Sam, however, it was much more than that. 

He shared with People magazine in August that their marriage felt deeply meaningful to him. Although it only lasted for seven years, they spent a significant portion of his life together. He confesses that he was deeply in love with her, continues to hold affection for her, and wishes only the best for her forevermore.
