Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Make Rare Public Appearance Together

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen are having a New York minute.

At New York Fashion Week on September 11, the twins graced a seldom-seen public event – W Magazine’s cocktail party at Eleven Madison Park – and, predictably, they exuded elegance fitting for the occasion.

For the outing, Mary-Kate sported an oversized white blouse and black trousers, accessorizing with a vibrant-patterned scarf draped around. She complemented her fashionable outfit by styling her long, sleek brown hair.

At the event, which included a DJ performance by Mark Ronson, Ashley also displayed a stylish flair, matching her sister’s fashion sense to some extent. Dressed in dark-wash jeans, a black long coat, and a gray scarf, she gave her Full House co-star Mary-Kate Olsen a good competition. Moreover, they both sported their hair in a similar wavy style.

Of course, besides the 39-year-old siblings, there were plenty of other famous faces at the event. Olivia Wilde, Tess Thompson, Tory Burch, Dwyane Wade, and Gabrielle Union were also part of the star-studded crowd.

At the W Magazine‘s party, Mary-Kate and Ashley made a notable appearance, marking their first joint public event since 2022, where they showcased their fashion line The Row during Paris Fashion Week. Prior to this, they had also been seen together at the CFDA awards in New York City back in 2019.

Though they rarely grace high-fashion runway events with their presence before photographers, this dynamic duo has undoubtedly been quite active behind the scenes. As far back as November 2024, they unveiled a brand new store for The Row in Paris, a fashion label that already boasts stores in New York City, East Hampton, Los Angeles, and London.

Ashley shared with Vogue that they desired to launch in Paris prior to London, but initially couldn’t find suitable options here. Around 18 months ago, however, a friend introduced them to an intriguing location. Ashley is the mother of a 2-year-old named Otto, married to Louis Eisner.

After choosing the French locale, Mary-Kate said the business accomplishment was achieved through a lot of trial and error.

“We don’t really try to get it right,” she told Vogue in the joint interview. “We just try to learn.”
