Fans of *Oshi no Ko* will be excited to hear the anime is returning for a new season next year! We now have a better idea of when to expect it, along with a first look at some new characters. The series has quickly become a favorite among anime fans, building on the success of the original manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari. The anime’s debut was a huge hit, and now it’s already been renewed for a third season.
Originally planned for a 2026 release, Season 3 of *Oshi no Ko* now has a more specific timeframe: January 2026. While an exact date hasn’t been announced yet, fans can look forward to the new season as part of the Winter 2026 anime lineup. To build excitement, a new trailer and poster have been released, offering a sneak peek at what’s to come.
Oshi no Ko Season 3 Finally Reveals January 2026 Release Window
I just learned that *Oshi no Ko* Season 3 is scheduled to premiere in January 2026! They revealed some exciting teasers at a recent anime event in Japan. We got our first glimpse of Ruby participating in the variety show, *Dig Deep! One Chance!!*, and they also introduced some new cast members. Yuto Takenaka will be playing Shun Yoshizumi, and Yoji Ueda is joining as Tetsu Urushibara. It sounds like we can expect the original voice actors to return as well, which is great news!
During the event, it was also revealed that the idol group B-Komachi, featuring Ruby, will be holding a live virtual event in Japan. The B-Komachi Live Tour 2026 – Beyond the Brilliance VirtualLive – will begin in April next year at the Aichi Prefectural Arts Theater Main Hall. The tour will include a total of 12 performances in Aichi, Osaka, and Tokyo. Unfortunately, there are currently no plans to bring the event to international audiences.
How to Catch Up With Oshi no Ko Ahead of Season 3

Now that the original *Oshi no Ko* manga by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari has finished, Season 3 will be the first new content fans have seen in a while. The second season ended with a surprising twist: Aqua is pausing his quest for revenge, but Ruby has begun her own, determined to find a killer.
Want to get caught up on *Oshi no Ko* before the new episodes arrive next year? You can stream the first two seasons now on HIDIVE, with audio in both Japanese and English. Plus, a live-action TV series and a movie are available on Prime Video, giving you plenty of options to enjoy the story.
