Techland announced that *Dying Light: The Beast* will be available worldwide starting September 18th at 9 AM PDT – a day earlier than originally planned. They also shared that the game has already received over one million pre-orders.
Franchise director Tymon Smektala announced that due to high player excitement for the return of Kyle Crane in *Dying Light: The Beast* and the game’s readiness, they’ve decided to release it sooner than originally planned. He explained the team worked hard to make this happen and is eager to see how players react to the new content.
The new expansion, *Dying Light: The Beast*, will launch on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC for $59.99. Versions for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be released later this year. Players who already own the Ultimate Edition of *Dying Light 2 Stay Human* will get it for free.
Set years after the events of *Dying Light* and *The Following*, the story follows Kyle Crane as he breaks free from the Baron, who has been experimenting on him. Now, Crane seeks revenge, battling the Baron’s forces while still fighting off hordes of zombies – including the even more dangerous Volatiles. You can find details about the new and improved enemies, and how the developers diversified the zombie types, here.
